I'd be pretty spiteful if I married a man who used me as a baby making machine while being in love with someone else.
Indeed!
Tonight William and Harry are delivering award in recognition of their mother in what seems to be a carefully choreographed event, that keeps them apart. But….
Today Meghan has announced her new ventures and whilst William is being centre stage, the Sussexes (?) have announced a large cash award from archewell.
Why? Do they not realise that people know that the timing is deliberate. Who is driving this spiteful behaviour. It’s all so unnecessary in my humble opinion.
I’ll retire behind settee now with my tin hat on awaiting the chorus of oh no not Meghan and Harry again!

“Anniebach
I agree Cossy Diana was spiteful, but she was suffering with
mental illness which can truly affect emotions.
Not sure I agree with ‘suffering with mental illness’, but were it true, it doesn’t seem to engender any sympathy?!
I think she had a privileged, but perhaps loveless, upbringing, and responded to Charles supposed affection. He then seemed to make it very clear that he did not love her, and so she became unhappy / frustrated ( not the same as mental illness)“
SusieK
She had a serious eating disorder, once (allegedly) threw herself downstairs, clearly had quite pronounced depression and anxiety. These are all signs of having a mental health condition.
Inside knowledge Kate1949 , or the press, or ‘there were three
in the marriage’ ‘ don’t mention the other men, wonder why

Inside knowledge? Common knowledge, more like!
Not inside knowledge, so strange, not one photograph of them
meeting in that time, nothing in the press, much about Kanga
but nothing about Camilla, Diana’s sisters and father would have known surely but didn’t tell her , most strange

Our now King has admitted he carried on seeing Camilla? I don’t think there was a mystery! Don’t think Diana had any kind of close relationship with either parent or step parent and they were probably all relived their daughter made “a good marriage” Oh the irony!

Yes, her mental health (aka her reaction to the unhappy situation she found herself in) manifested it in - allegedly - such ways. As perhaps such treatment might affect many of us?
In response to Maddyone I am sorry: my post was confusing.
I was likening the behaviour of a neighbouring family split by divorce to that of the Royal Family, in that the grandchildren turned against their grandparents of whom they were previously very fond, following the introduction of the new partner. I think I was trying to make the point that it does happen all the time, and is distressing, but most people don't publicise it or trade on it.

It’s not a criticism of her! In many ways I think most of her life seemed awful!
Where’s all the female solidarity we were urged when discussing C? Ooh I know, it’s all one way.

I have criticised ANY member of the RF, I think H&M made some bad choices, but from what I’ve seen they’re great parents.
I think many of us don’t understand the life she had before her marriage to Harry or the life she had afterwards, or even her life now!
Don’t think she’s toxic or evenly, I don’t think W&C are perfect, but not are they bad people, neither was Diana.
Have NOT!!! Sorry brain works quicker than fingers (or not at all!)

He did not, he said ‘not until the marriage had irretrievably broken down.
Her sister who had dated Charles didn’t know, her other sister married to Robert Fellows didn’t know? So many in that circle
didn’t know, most strange

I find it incredulous that the same people who shun the media also believe everything printed when it suits their agenda!
Unless there are people on here who know ANY member of the RF personally I take everything I read about any of them with a pinch of salt.
Obviously once a book is published or an interview conducted this casts a different light on things.
The Duchess of Sussex has always cared about humanity, referenced by clips from videos when she was quite a young girl. The Duke of Sussex is still very active, where allowed, with anything attached to the services.
I think they are both damaged people, who’ve been very badly advised and are in a bad place. Whether this is entirely their fault is in some ways irrelevant.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, are humans, like the Sussexes, all of them have the same flaws we all do and make similar mistakes and have family feuds, just like the rest of us.
It’s really none of our business and frankly I wish them all well and hope, in time, they can heal their rift.

Yes, she has. She has always been an advocate for women's and girls' rights that's why she was such a welcome addition to The Firm.
Mind you, she needed to have looked no further than her grandmother-in-law for an example of a strong woman.
It's a pity that she and Harry just keep blundering on causing stress and unhappiness to others. It can't be making them happy either ☹
No inside knowledge Annie just reports in the press and from some books which is also, I assume, where the information came from that Diana had a mental illness and had affairs. No inside knowledge there either.

I agree.
'He did not until the marriage had irretrievably broken down,' Well he would say that wouldn't he?

How do you know they are facts Annie?

It’s impossible to say that it is fact.
Even if Charles had said that to you personally and directly, it isn’t necessarily true.
So where are you getting your 'facts' from, Anniebach?
It has been said here today, Charles said he had the affair.
I posted what he did say, I quoted a fact.

This is your belief, an opinion, not a FACT! To be fair the only two people who actually know if they did or didn’t carry on seeing each other are King Charles and Camilla themselves. My belief is that they DID carry on before, during and after his loveless marriage.
Like you, I have absolutely no refutable evidence or proof.
So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree
He could say anything. It doesn't make it the truth.

You quoted what someone else said. That doesn’t make it a fact.
I can remember countless times when very influential people have lied to cover up their failings, Prince Andrew springs to mind.
