Good Morning Everyone,
Up early as usual a habit I am finding hard to break due to getting up early to go to work years ago, anyway its dry, cold and chilly at the moment in brackley.
Yesterday found the wind chill seems to have an effect as to my health situation as it seems to upset my system as regards to how I feel , I can walk a reasonable distance without breaking it into segments with sit downs ,as this prolonged cold weather lasts I have a mixture of good and bad days when out.
Take Care,
Mick

Have a lovely trip away GG13 hopefully some 🌞.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A shopping trip this morning and a quiet afternoon.
Best wishes to all

Good morning all it’s to be a wet cold and windy day today here on the east coast of Fife. See what’s happening in Scotland regardless of what the news say

Keep warm and cosy my friends

Good morning all from the Black country, sun shining but how long it will last is another question.
Yesterday managed to get front lawn cut and a tidy round the garden.
Today maybe a trip to garden centre we need more woodchip it helps keep neighbours weeds away there is no fence at the front.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning Mick and good morning all. It's 4°, pouring rain, grey skies and wind out of Siberia here on the Angus coast. As you say Grandmabatty, back to winter. The yellow warning for snow which was in place for us for today has been lifted, but the hills had a thick covering yesterday. Lovely to look at ......
Sorry you are missing your holiday Mizuna. You are such an uncomplaining lady. I hope your breathing gets better again soon.
I'm swithering about whether to go shopping today or leave it until after tai chi tomorrow, but looking out of the window at the driving rain I rather think it will be the latter 😉.
DS2 and family are off with their caravan to the Derbyshire Dales for Easter weekend, complete with winter clothes and heated throws!
Karma and Bellasnana congratulations on your survival of the dentist's chair. Those were mammoth sessions, poor souls.
My brain refuses to do joined up thinking this morning - a dream woke me up at 4 30 and has left me feeling very discombobulated even though I can't now remember what it was! Anyway, I shall love you and leave you. Sending healing vibes to all in need x

Good morning from a British and so far dry Suffolk after rain last night. We were enjoying the dry paths on our dog walks for the last few days bu,with rain forecast for the next week or so,mud everywhere will be the order of the day.

Off to my keep fit class and then coffee with a friend. Our car situation is complicated at the moment. DH has lent his car to DD1 and family in Bristol whilst they await delivery of their new family car. Their 2nd car is just too small for 3 strapping teenagers, eldest with a broken ankle and her crutches and them and dog.

Eldest DGD in Ipswich has lent DH her car whilst his is in Bristol but that is booked in for its MOT tomorrow so this afternoon sees DH taking that to Ipswich,a journey of 40 miles and me following to bring him back. Given where we live,we couldn’t manage with only 1 car without very careful planning of our lives. But given that is the only thing we have to contend with today,we are certainly blessed given the difficulties some face.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.

Rain rain go to Spain and never do come back again.

Gentle yarn group this morning in the warm.

I went to my DGC school concert last night. It was wonderful but very long--all the applause 👏
DGS played 2 piano solos as part of the jazz band.

Belated birthday greetings to Stilllearning. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Feeling for Kalu. flowers
Thinking of all in pain or who have worries.
Wish you all some joy today.

Good morning to you all.

I felt weak at the knees reading about Bellasnana and Karmalady and their dental ordeals. I’m another dental phobic. Hope both you ladies recover fast.

Yesterday DGS2 had a massive meltdown when he was picked up by DH but by the time he’d driven 15 minutes back he was all smiles which is how he remained for the rest of the day. We went to Lacock where he had a good runaround which was just as well as the heavens opened from lunchtime until the late evening.

Ocado delivery this morning. I was really annoyed with myself as I somehow to forgot to book out my order amendments before the cutoff time. Oh well.

Thoughts are with Kalu today. Hope you all have a good albeit rainy Wednesday.

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, it is only 2°C.

I can't stop thinking of my friend Kalu, never complaining about how her life has changed dramatically and totally devoted to her lovely DH. 💐 she is a very strong and brave lady.

Mick, I know you enjoy your trips, but you really need to consider the weather, before your outings. Cold weather is not good for lung nor heart conditions.

I am exhausted this morning after little sleep due to excruiating pain and a full on day yesterday.
After a visit to the Botanic Gardens, we wandered round my old
hunting ground at the University. My slow and painful walking meant frequent stops in various licensed premises. 😉 I felt like a student again. ( PS, I was not indulging in much alcohol).

I had forgotten how friendly and kind Glaswegians are, from the staff at the Botanic Garedens, to people offering seats on the train and underground, The banter on the Subway was such a tonic.
However, I hadn't realised how crowded the Subway would be (think sardines) and had to wrap my scarf around my mouth.
DH and I were amazed at this world that was alien to us. Glasgow was so busy with students and commuters, we had a great time people watching.
Unfortunately we got caught up on the football traffic in the station, but the fans from both countries were so well behaved,
Poor DD and SIL couldn't get a train home, until after kick off, because their village is on that line.
I was so tired, we took a shortcut across the field in the dark to save time, silly old fools! I just wanted home!
A day of recuperation today, methinks.

Karma I hope you feel better as the day goes on. I once had lots of black thread hanging from my mouth after a long surgical procedure ( without sedation ) I remember having to call the police when I got home, because we had spotted an intruder in the gardens.
The policeman, who was taking to me ( I was in pyjamas) couldn't take his eyes off my black eye and the black threads hanging from my mouth. 🤣

Wishing you all a pleasant day. I hope all the poorlies are on the mend.

Good morning from a cloudy and cold East Midlands. It’s wednesday 27th March - I know because it is my birthday today. Heading out soon with hubby for the day. Love and hugs to all who are suffering or just really down.

Grandmabatty Wed 27-Mar-24 08:37:09

Purplepixie a very happy birthday to you. Have a lovely day

harrigran Wed 27-Mar-24 08:40:11

Good morning from a grey rainy NE yet again.
It is the 27th March and DD's 55th birthday shock how can I be old enough to have a DD that age ?
DD and SIL are spending the day together but I will probably see her tomorrow or at the weekend.
Another day to myself today so think I may do some reading.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but heavy showers are forecast later, so will not be putting the washing out. Managed to get one load completely dry yesterday, and then enjoyed a lively health walk in the sunshine. Lots of chat during the walk and over coffee afterwards.

A bit of pottering this morning and then book club after lunch, when we are discussing 'The Lost Bookshop', which I very much enjoyed.

Chicken Paprika for dinner tonight, which is thawing out as I write.

Feeling for Kalu, as I have trod that path, as have numerous others on here I believe.

May Wednesday be kind to all.

Susan56 Wed 27-Mar-24 08:45:53

Good morning from Shropshire where it’s raining again.

Thank you for the good wishes for my appointment yesterday. We had paid for the appointment as the NHS waiting list was over two years. It was money well spent.A lovely consultant who came up with a diagnosis, well a choice of two.Biopsies will be needed to determine which condition.Again due to NHS waits we have (reluctantly) chosen to pay.I have seen ten different medical professionals over the last twelve months at our surgery who couldn’t come up with a diagnosis, one appointment at this private clinic and hopefully things are looking up.I was quite overwhelmed with all he was saying and had to call DH in for support🙈

I wish safe travels to all who are on the move, sorry your holiday has been postponed Mizuna.

Gingster I hope things improve for your DD.I remember your DGD starting her training, I hope she is enjoying her new job.

My thoughts are with Kalu and Urms facing such difficult times💐

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

EkwaNimitee Wed 27-Mar-24 08:58:33

Good morning Mick and all from grey, damp, chilly Carlisle.
March always comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion here grandMattie. The knowledge didn't stop me putting out my garden table and chair last week. I put them back in the garage last night after seeing the forecast for the next few days.

I can endure a lot at the dentist karma but your experience sounded grim! I hope recovery isn't too bad and you're soon up and running again.
I'm taking it easy today, another infection of some sort hit me suddenly yesterday afternoon so I'm going to try and head it off. Usually a forlorn hope but you never know. I've plenty of reading to catch up on and admin to file and deal with on the pc.

Have the best possible day everyone, perhaps someone somewhere will see the sun?

EkwaNimitee Wed 27-Mar-24 08:59:16

And Happy Birthday Purplepixie!

GrannySomerset Wed 27-Mar-24 09:05:37

Wild weather here but must go and collect prescriptions and take the shamefully dirty car to the car wash. If I am still vertical it is singing this afternoon but will see how I feel - although the dizziness has gone I still don’t feel quite myself and run out of steam suddenly.

Thoughts with all those dealing with illness and anxiety - and with dental horrors safely behind them!

Ziplok Wed 27-Mar-24 09:16:29

Good morning all,
At the moment it’s dry, breezy and with the odd sunny spell, but it’s set to change to wet. As Greyduster says, of course it will, it’s Easter. Oh well, better than being too hot to move, I suppose.
I hope you all have a good day and anyone feeling unwell or hurting in any way, I send you my best wishes.

Susan56 Wed 27-Mar-24 09:17:01

Happy birthday Purplepixie.

Karma and Bellasnanna wishing you both a good recovery after your dental appointments.

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 27-Mar-24 09:17:47

Happy birthday, purplepixie 🎂

cornergran Wed 27-Mar-24 09:56:59

Happy birthday purplepixie. 🎈🎂

I’m relieved you’re getting answers susan but what a shame it needed a private appointment. I’m getting tempted to do the same with pain issues, the NHS insistence on umpteen people each looking at a part of me just isn’t working. And sigh.

ExDancer Wed 27-Mar-24 10:04:25

I do hope it's Wednesday the 27th and not the 28th or I've missed a doctor's appointment.
Its a cool dry day here in Cumbria, no rain (yet). I'm hoping to go to my class at the hydrotherapy pool this afternoon and sooth my aches and pains.
Have a good day everyone.

Blossoming Wed 27-Mar-24 10:10:29

Good luck Mick and everyone.

I have no idea what the weather is doing as I have been awake most of the night with diarrhoea. I feel utterly worn out, going to try to sleep now.
