Do you own a toilet brush?

Sumarsh1960 - I'm a cleaner too and use ( and sometimes provide ) toilet brushes . Some of my clients don't have them and boy , it shows ! Eeech !

Loo brushes gave me the willies so I stopped using them. I have a pair of long black rubber gloves and hand scrub the toilet each week.

I’m not putting my hands down a toilet used by others for anything, whether wearing rubber gloves or not. A silicone brush has no seams, nothing sticks to it and it can be effectively disinfected whilst it’s in the toilet. I just don’t get why anybody would voluntarily use their hands. Each to their own though.

Me neither, but I’m very impressed by the flexibility of GNs who can bend low enough or kneel down to reach the water line.
Incidentally, because of this thread, I looked out for and inspected the toilet brushes in the Hilton and on our cruise ship. In both places, they existed and were immaculate.

I thought about this thread when cleaning the cloakroom loo this morning and wondered what on earth I would do without a brush. Having dupuytrens contracture, I can’t get my fingers into rubber gloves.

Anything loose is surely flushed away unless the flush isn't working properly?

Toilet gel left for a while followed by a scrub with a brush, rinse the brush thoroughly with another flush and change frequently.

The thought of rubber gloves going near a loo makes me feel a bit queasy, hope they are kept just for that purpose!
