No warmth here in the east today feels and sounds like November

I’m in the London suburbs and yes it’s been windy and very wet but it’s not not been a cold Winter here, only one or two frosty days and I’ve not had any heating on for a few weeks now and my winter quilt is off the bed. Are you in the North Sallywally1?

I had to take my coat off yesterday it was so hot ( and I feel the cold) plus we were eating outside on the seafront.

How I wish it was mild here tanith. We’re in the South West and it’s been very chilly, heating has switched on this morning, it was less than 18 degrees at 7am. Weather app tells me it feels like 2 degrees outside. With very few exceptions this is how it’s been.

S Hampshire, it was 7 when I got up about 40 minutes ago, the heating was on, forecast down to 3 tonight.

Very high spring tides, strong winds and subsequent flooding overnight on the south coast. No allotment for me today. The whole site is cut off but thankfully not under water..

The March in the first lockdown was glorious, how can this March have been warmer?

Wind and heavy rain in North Wales. I feel as though it's been raining all year so far. I had the heating on all through March so not warm here.

It has been a warm winter, wet as well, but mainly much warmer than average. I remember a time when one would expect to see snow for at least several days every winter and temperatures consistently close to 0 degrees. This year snow has been non-existent and there have been no prolonged periods with frosts that last for a week or more, with temperatures below zero.

Yes, this winter has been cold but not as cold as previous winters.

It has been very wet here apart from the odd day when the sun could be seen. It’s so wet we haven’t been able to take the dog for a run around on the local meadow for months. The heating is on because it’s so damp and my thick winter clothes haven’t been put away yet.

Endless rain here in Devon. Some cold weather this winter, but nowhere near the freezing winters I remember from when I was young.
At the moment the wind is making it feel colder than it actually is. I don't like cold wind. But we actually have sunshine here this morning which makes a welcome change.

I live in Dorset, thankfully it's been mild here compared to previous years. I don't have central heating, just a gas fire, but we only used it for a couple weeks earlier in the year. Fluffy throw for chillier evenings. Most days I have the windows open (bedroom always is) at some point and have been able to leave back door open some days. Have started kicking the bedclothes back and legs hung out to cool down lol.
Just the relentless rain that is so annoying. Blowing a hoolie last night and still windy, but not cold.

We had snow that settled only last week. It’s 5 degrees here this morning, and wet and windy too. It feels like December, I’m totally fed up with it. I’d guess that we’ve only had about 25 frosty mornings though all winter, which is less than normal.

It's 8C here, feels like 4C apparently although the sun is just peeping through 🤞

Weather is not climate, however.

Not too cold here in the East Midlands but still pouring with rain. Fed up.

Weather here in SW Northumberland is currently 7° with rain. I was awake most of the night listening to it pattering on the windows. No wind today thankfully. It's the constant dull grey that's getting me down. I long for a few days of sunshine.

Weather here has been one of the coolest this year. A few very hot days but average very low temps. Only been in the pool 3 or 4 times, too cold. Don’t be fooled by the stuff they tell you - there are vested interests at play. We used to have weeks and weeks of unrelenting heat back in the 1970s and 1980s plus a 10 year drought. But the ‘experts’ disagree. They will tell you it is just an anomaly, just where you happen to live. I think they are telling porkies.

It's really windy down here on the south coast. Heavy rain last night and lots of floods.. although we have had some lovely sunny days and the temperature has been quite mild there have been a great number of full on heavy rain days this March and April

In all my years on this earth I have never, ever seen as much rain as we are having in England, not sure about the rest of the UK. though. I know we get April showers and what about St. Swithens in July, will it rain 40 days and 40 nights. I for one am sick to death of it, luckily I live on the top of a hill and the water runs down but it is the garden that bothers me as I can't get out to cut the hedges on the pavement. I feel so soryy for the rest of the country with all the floods they are having. There is something not quite right with the weather and has been for some time. I remember in the 40's, 50's and 60s, winter was winter, spring was spring and summer was summer, not any longer.

Admittedly this is Cornwall but for the first time ever I haven't worn my thick gloves at all this winter, just fingerless ones. Masses of rain for weeks, but not cold. Today the sky is clear and the sun is out and our beaches are packed with families, all coated-up, with picnics. The beach cafes are very busy too. (Also lots of good strandline pickings among the seaweed due to the storm!)

Windy, cloudy but with intermittent sunshine.

We knew it would happen, though.

All those prophecies of Mediterranean summers which would come with climate change were pie in the sky.

It's been 'stinking hot' up North, though, and very, very wet.

It’s a day of torrential rain here in Durham. My little country road has deep areas of water being washed down from the fields. The same situation atound Newcastle where the Tyne is in danger of flooding. DD2’s nursery has emailed parents to collect their little ones, if possible, as parts of the building are flooded.
Plus, it’s getting very windy now.
