Is there anything you have seen that defies explanation?

Not necessarily supernatural.

I have always been interested in the thylacine, which went extinct in the 1930s, but there have been some sightings up until now, real or imagined.
It has obviously been in the area from which the animal came Tasmanian tiger) but...

Have you ever seen a big cat, or strange creature, or weird phenomena?

Well, that's inexplicable to me.

Is it a link?

I too have sen the black panther in North Yorkshire

MissAdventure Mon 15-Apr-24 21:06:14

There seems to be a lot of big cat sightings.

Surely they can't all be just imaginings?

I think if you see/hear/experience a lot or regularly it all feels pretty ordinary and unsurprising.

Yes, I read the article on weird Wiltshire Margells, but the first picture of the cottage is different to the next two pictures though?? looking like different cottages, unless part of the original was knocked down??

Lived on IOWight for six years. Saw a black panther one day. Later found out our next door neighbour a retired police sergeant had seen one previously in same area.

I saw a huge black cat some years ago when with my kids up on Bredon hill.
It emerged from the tree line to attack a brood of wood pigeon.
We were close enough to hear the pound of the panthers paws on the ground. Only myself and my eldest lad saw it.
Unmistakable though.

Where I lived there used to be regular sightings of a big black cat like animal, local police officer went to investigate one sighting, went round the back of the cottage, came flying back round, jumped over his police mini car which was parked across the gateway...behind him? One very large, black angry boar...so nothing supernatural that day.🙂

There have been sightings of what were claimed to be black panthers near here although I haven't seen one myself.

One theory is,that people who owned exotic animals as "pets" set them free when the laws changed regarding ownership.

I wonder though, if there would be enough livestock for them to predate on (assuming that is,how they would eat)

One rainy afternoon, I was driving towards my parents cottage. At one point the rain came down very hard and I couldn’t even see the road anymore. I slowed down to a crawl. I tied to stop by the side of the road. But, as I did the car groped some gravel, and started fish-tailing. I tried to get control but could not. Suddenly, my car became airborne and it began to spin, slowly. I remember getting ready for the crash and bracing myself by holding on tight to the steering wheel.

And, then something happened. As the car was spinning in slow motion, I suddenly felt as if the car was being carried. Like it was purposely being held and directed to a spot. No crash came. Instead, the car gently flew up in the air, left the road and ever so gently was placed in a ditch! I was farther from the road and somehow I had avoided hitting 2 massive trees behind me. I was in disbelief. I sat still in the car with my hands still clutching the steering wheel. I tried to get out but I was knee deep in water.

I looked up towards the road. I couldn’t see the road because I was deep in a ditch. But, I could hear some cars going by. I tried my cell phone knowing that there’s no way I would get a signal because I had tried earlier. It’s not an area that gets any reception. To my surprise I was able to call my parents and my cousin was coming to get me.

What happened next was even more surprising. As I sat in my car, I looked up and saw a police officer looking down at me. Where did she come from? She helped me up and had me sit in her car. She explained that she was on her way to a 2 car collision when out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimmer of white. This prompted her to stop and check it out. Coincidence? She called a tow truck and they got my car back on the side of the road. I tried the car and it worked. Other than the front, everything else looked good. I actually drove it to the cottage and then back home while my parents followed me.

I remember that the next day was Monday. I went into work but eked up leaving early as I was burning up. Due to the shock I had a fever of 103! I spent the next 2 days in bed. I have never had a fever in June.

All I know is that I felt protected that day. My car was in a ditch in the middle of nowhere as it is a rural road in the country. Yet, I received help during the wipeout and again later while waiting in the ditch.

Yes, it could be true.

There's a lake near here which has a colony of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles terrains.
