Do you still wear you original wedding and engagement ring

I have combined my wedding ring, mom’s wedding ring and a diamond from a pair of earring of which I had lost one. I didn’t like my original but love this one

Still wear original wedding ring although nowadays in warm weather my hand swells and it can be a problem. Couldn't afford an engagement ring so didn't get one until many years later when got engagement and eternity ring together which I wear on other hand. Then for 40th anniversary DH wanted to buy me a ruby eternity ring but I decided on saphire instead because of the unethical way rubies are generally mined. Only ever wear any of them when I go out of house never indoors.

Was never given an engagement ring, I purchased both of our wedding rings and paid the seven shillings and sixpence for the licence. Both are still wearable.

My original engagement ring was cheap and cheerful as it was all we could afford 50 years ago It became too small and I now wear my mum’s engagement ring which is much nicer and 78 years old! I had a beautiful white gold engraved wedding ring which unfortunately I was allergic to, so had to replace! I wear both my (replacement) wedding ring and. (Mum’s) engagement ring all the time!

In 49 years of marriage, my wife has only taken her wedding ring off once, when she was in hospital for surgery in the late 1990s. Her engagement ring lives in the safe and only comes out for special occasions. From my (male) perspective, I wear my wedding ring whenever I am out of the house. I have a signet ring which my wife bought me when we were engaged, and I wear that on my right hand ring finger, again only when I am out of the house. When we are in the house, both rings are threaded onto my watch strap - so I always know where they are.

Over the years with losing weight and putting it back on my ring has been altered , once as my mum had died I used her ring to enlarge my ring . The last time I did it the jeweller misunderstood me and my patterned wide wedding ring was remade into a simple gold band which luckily I love .my engagement ring is so thin I darent wear it it is 55 years old

My engagement ring broke and was not worth repairing sadly so we bought a new one and matching wedding ring in Orkney with a Celtic design as we both love Scotland. Next year we are planning to buy a matching eternity ring for our 50th anniversary and a new matching wedding ring for my husband.

My original rings were stolen in a burglary years ago (I was 7 months pregnant at the time with swollen fingers). Now I have replacement rings that are really pretty but with no sentimental value. I recently had each ring resized to fit my now more chubby fingers.

Yes 47 years this Tuesday he was my knight in shining armour still is!

Yes I’m still wearing my original engagement and wedding rings. We were married 55 years ago, plus an eternity ring my husband bought me a couple of years ago.

Yes I do and I amazed that they still fit my finger after all these years.

I had mine made bigger recently after not wearing them for years

Having been divorced since 1985 I prefer to continue to wear a wedding ring. Unfortunately my engagement no longer fits.

I wear both rings on a daily basis (57 years) but remove my engagement ring into its original box overnight. Both are a little loose but not enough to concern me. Love them both and I didn't choose either. Just a sentimental old romantic!

I've only a wedding ring, we married young, it still fits and I always wear it. I take my ring off to shower /do dishes, I don't like my finger to remain wet under my ring and become irritated.

I wear my rings because I love them! The wedding band is not the original, but is a beautiful three coloured band that my dh bought me because he “thought it was time I had something more beautiful”. my “engagement ring” is a nine diamond daisy cluster that my dh had made for me by a jeweller Friend of ours, it was not really an engagement ring as we could not afford one then, but I got it many years later! I also have my mums wedding ring which I wear on my right hand, along with a solitaire diamond ring of huge sentimental value.

I can’t believe how many engagement rings have been stolen!! I decided to stop wearing my rings after my husband had been dead for 3 years, as I no longer felt married. I sometimes wear my mother’s rings, they were made in the 1930s and are too pretty to be stuck in a drawer. They fit me perfectly now, and it makes me feel close to her.

Have always worn both my engagement ring and wedding ring. A few years ago the diamond fell out of my engagement ring but fortunately I was at home and heard it fall on the wooden floor, best to check claws at a jewellers occasionally. My husband had to have his wedding ring cut off as his fingers had expanded over the years. After a burglary I replaced what was taken with one lovely dress ring, which I always wear - this one is not being taken.

I had my rings resized about 10 years ago. I wear my wedding ring all the time and the engagement ring sometimes. Early in our marriage the engagement ring fell into a fire accidentally. We managed to rescue it and a jeweller cleaned it up as well as he could without taking all the stones out and repolishing them. The diamonds don’t sparkle as they should but then after 43 years neither do I and I would never want to replace the ring.

I continued to wear my wedding ring after my husband passed away. My daughter is getting married on Wednesday 24.04.24 . I have given her my wedding ring now and she will be married with it on Wednesday.
My husband and I were married for 46 years, I hope my ring continues and makes hers a long happy marriage.
I still wear my engagement and eternity ring.

I took both my rings to goldsmith's and they enlarged them for me, at not too extravagant cost, so pleased because I still love both after 37 years of marriage

Knobbly joints mean I can’t get my rings on my wedding finger. I sometimes wear them on my right hand. I’d quite like a refresh, by DH is too tight to stump up for new 🙄🙄

My original wedding ring had engraving inside so when it became tight my DH bought me another one a slightly different style. The original one is being stored. My engagement ring was enlarged.

Perhaps he feels the rings have meaning, new ones just wouldn't be the same.

Can you have them enlarged?

My ex husband cleared off with someone else. I threw my wedding ring at him.
