Good Morning Everyone,

Today, after yesterdays hospital appointment in and out before my appointment time .
My usual bus journey to Bicester hopefully with meet ups , brackley itself as gone into St Georges mode with flags flying in town centre , it also Shakespeare's birthday as they hold celebrations for that in Stratford upon Avon.
Watch cycling on TV later in afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from an overcast Torbay where it’s another early start for us as DH is returning to France for just under two weeks. (medical appointments and gardening!)

Yesterday I was seen on time at the Heart and Lung Unit by lovely staff (my annual follow up to my original heart event in early 2020, grandMattie) and was ready to be collected by 9.00am, by which time DH had completed the Lidl shop. Later I attended Move It Or Lose It which was enjoyable.

Later today, I’ve been offered a steroid injection at my surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, which has come through quickly due to a cancellation. Tomorrow, my local cardiologist has booked an appointment to ring me for my annual review which will include feedback on yesterday's ECG and echocardiogram. I am grateful for all that is being done for me by the NHS even though it’s giving me a week of medical appointments!

Time to get moving or DH will miss his train! Have a good day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Happy St. George’s Day from an overcast Bristol.
I’ve no idea if anything is planned round here, but I feel it’s a shame that it isn’t celebrated like the other National saints…
I’ve got an appointment in town first thing this morning, so I have to pay my bus fare, which is annoying.
The hairdresser is coming this afternoon to cut my hair. My two friendly neighbours are coming too as the woman has agreed to squeeze them in!
I hope all the hospital appointments went well, that MD is managing her pain and energy levels, the urms DH is ok, as is everyone else not mentioned.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Glad all is going well, Ash. Perhaps it’s better to cram everything into one week, rather than spread it out? 🙂

Good morning, full moon woke me early today. Weather will just be bland all day

I got involved in sorting my spices and stores in my kitchen yesterday. I use a built in unused fridge/freezer and really it is perfect with door racks and shelves that I can reach right into. I have ordered 24 glass storage jars with good labels. I am in process of re-building my asssortment. These will go into the door racks

First stage of caftan two is done and I made a very nice cranks apricot traybake with oat mix top and bottom

No ideas for today but I have started a new book and will get out and about. Every day evolves for me, one way or another

Have a good day

Good morning everyone from a grey, cloudy hillside in south Glos.
Yesterday I met a friend for my morning dog walk, I really enjoyed catching up with her. It then drizzled or rained for the rest of the day 🙄
Nothing much else happened, just usual chores, I didn’t get any art stuff done so maybe today.
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and bright with some blue skies. Ash that's a lot to get through in a week! I hope they all go well. Karma the full moon woke me too, shining in the french windows in my bedroom.
Yesterday was a good day with the boys who both behaved well. Dgs2 and I went for a walk to look at a local building site. He's very fond of diggers. He's also keen to 'help Gramma' so I leave emptying the dishwasher until he's around. I don't imagine he'll still be as helpful in a couple of years! I had a phonecall with a psych service nurse regarding mum. She is refusing to cooperate with them so it's difficult for them to make a formal diagnosis which is needed to progress her care and the guardianship.
Today will be more of the same with the boys. Mini pancakes with strawberries and chocolate sauce for their breakfast. Dgs2 always wants carrot soup for lunch(homemade lentil)and another walk ahead. Have a good day all.

Good morning from Belfast. Sky looks promising or is it wishful thinking!!!!
Going out this morning for coffee. Coming back to work in the garden hopefully.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from a dull South Downs.

The final last two roses have now been pruned - Madam Alfred Carriere and Souvenir du doctuer jamaine which has a particularly strong fragrance. I also began cutting back a Montana clematis that has got completely out of hand, I have decided to cut it to the ground and if it survives start again. I will feed and mulch the roses today, then cut back the bracken on the ferns and tidy them up.

DHs back seems a tad better🤞 so hopefully be able to get out and about again soon. Meanwhile I shall housework downstairs , do some washing and ironing and perhaps make a batch of pizza topping sauce to freeze.

I haven’t seen a squirrel lately, but I notice the food is going so he must be around.

I’m still relocating mice from the greenhouse- I suspect that they are beating me back on their daily walk!

Bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomato for breakfast - a nice unhealthy start to the day😄

Enjoy you day all. Keep on, keeping on. Or never allow the b…s to get you down!

Peace and harmony to our beleaguered world.

Good morning from Malta where it is sunny and 19°C.’

I’m with the boys who are just having breakfast.

This afternoon I’m meeting an old friend who is on holiday from the UK.

How lovely that Brackley is decked out for St George’s Day, Mick! I’m another who thinks it’s a pity our patron saint doesn’t get as much attention as others!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️
PS. This is my second attempt! Thought I’d posted but it’s vanished.😄

Morning all from West Oxfordshire,
I peeked out of the window and it looks damp! I’m staying in bed another hour or so.
OH has an emergency dental appointment this morning. It’s a tooth which has been filled and crowned so he’s not sure what’s going to happen, except it will be expensive!
I’m popping to the Charity shop with mainly clothes but also a rug. I also need to get the clasp replaced on a pearl (freshwater) necklace.
Probably a sausage casserole for dinner. OH has his shooting club and I will visit friends in the village.
Have a good day, especially those of you with problems.

Good morning from Shropshire where it’s another drizzly and breezy day.

We are about to travel over the border into North Wales for a day of childcare.H attends nursery in the morning and school nursery in the afternoon. From loving nursery he now gets very sad going. He is the oldest in the nursery and the school teacher says he is a clever little boy and ready for reception and she thinks he is just too old for nursery. We have offered to have him today as DD and SIL are unable to work their hours around keeping him at home this morning.

Welsh class this afternoon. It’s definitely getting trickier.

Safe travels Olddudders and hope the appointments go well Ash.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset.

Covid jabs, two bags to a charity shop, a coffee and a welcome sale bargain filled yesterday morning. Mr C finished a jigsaw and I battled the computer in the afternoon. A draw was declared!

Meeting friends for lunch today, a break for them on their way to Wales from Hampshire, then a quick after school visit with our daughter in law and grandson. 🤞 the motorways behave.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 23-Apr-24 07:05:21

Morning all, it’s grey and chilly here in S E Essex.

I have to feed the washing machine after changing the bed, then I am going for a manicure which comes along with a catch up on local gossip.

Pick The Imp and his brother up from pre-school/school and take them to their swimming lessons. I need to hunt in the freezer and find something for dinner.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Today is St. George's day, so let's all fly the flag for God, for England and St.George!

BlueSapphire Tue 23-Apr-24 07:09:20

Good morning everyone from my cabin on Adventure, enjoying a mug of tea; it is an overcast morning, and hopefully not as windy as it was yesterday. Much too windy and chilly to venture on deck, so I spent most of the day reading in one or other of the many lounges. Another sea day ahead; we are currently cruising along the North African coast, approaching Tunisia. Malta tomorrow.

An excellent show last night in the theatre; three close harmony singers who entertained us with a mixture of songs from rock 'n' roll to Sinatra, and musicals. Shall certainly see them again.

I have three lectures I would like to attend today; one on Forensic Medicine in Film and Fiction, the second on the island of Hydra which we visit in a few days, and the final one on Crete's ancient civilisation. If nothing, I shall be well educated!

We are an hour ahead of the UK, so I am beginning to feel breakfast calling, so time to make a move.
May all our days go well.

kittylester Tue 23-Apr-24 07:09:37

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

The only thing I have planned today is a singing lesson but I am sure some other things will occur. We may go to get our covid jabs at a chemist in the next village - it offers a walk-in service.

Have the best day possible everyone.

brook2704 Tue 23-Apr-24 07:13:27

Good morning everyone from Inverness, it’s dry and bright with a forecast of 12° so it looks like it’s going to be a good day
Safe travels Susan56 and enjoy the time with H, it’s good that he’s not having to go to nursery if he’s not enjoying it just now
This morning I’ve got a volunteering session followed by lunch and then back home to potter in the garden. I painted another couple of fence panels yesterday but there’s still lots to do 🙁
Sounds like you’ve been very busy in the garden WWM we’ve just bought a new squirrel feeder, they’re busy just now and it’s lovely to see them
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Alygran Tue 23-Apr-24 07:22:25

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s wet again here. And feels pretty chilly.
I’m out walking this morning, up on the edge of the moors. I’ve not been up there for a while but I’m expecting mud!
I should settle down and do some charity admin later.
Have a good day everyone.

Sar53 Tue 23-Apr-24 07:26:15

Good morning from a chilly Essex coast.
Lots to do today before my trip to DD1 tomorrow. I'm trying to take as little as possible with me, as the thought of carrying a heavy case up and down stairs and escalators going across London, doesn't fill me with joy. My cough is better than it was but nowhere near gone and I still get short of breath.
I'm looking forward to seeing my granddaughters and of course their new puppy who looks just like a Teddy bear.
I renewed our car insurance yesterday, thank goodness it's only once a year. I shopped around but the best deal was with our current insurers.
Have the best day everyone xxx

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 23-Apr-24 07:36:01

Good morning from an overcast Oxfordshire after a very wet day yesterday and it looks as though it was a wet night too, cold as well, heating has clicked on again.

MrOops has gone to meet MzOops to bring her clothes back here as she couldn’t squeeze them into the car last week, he went last night, not wanting to do a 6 hour round trip in one day, I wonder what else he will bring back? No matter, it’s all going down into the cabin, after she has moved out of her house (still no date yet for her ‘new’ house) she will be here and can sort it all out. Everything else is going into storage.

Vertigo wasn’t too good yesterday so I ‘mostly’ sat and read my kindle books.

Have a good day everyone, hugs for those who are unwell and or stressed.

Gingster Tue 23-Apr-24 07:39:20

Good morning all and it’s overcast here in Essex after a few sunny days.

We have the plumber arriving soon to fit a new boiler.
Dd will come in after school drop off as she has to be back for a parents meeting an hour later and it’s not worth her going home .

Bridge this afternoon and maybe this evening.

I hope all your appointments go well Ash and your dh has a good journey. 🤞.

Bluesapphire I’m enjoying hearing all about your daily activities and am jealous of your cruise. 💚. 8 years since our World Cruise. Time for another .

Enjoy your St. George’s Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Good morning from N Bucks where I woke up COLD about 5 o clock! My furry hotty has now curled up beside me but I need to get up and on to our Arts Society Special Interest Day.
Took the guest speaker out to dinner at our village pub yesterday and had an enjoyable evening . He's very entertaining and nice with it and I'm confident he'll be good today.
Glad you are enjoying your cruise BlueSapphire Is Hydra where they have no cars but transport everything on donkeys? D2 and family were there and on Spetses over the Easter holidays - sounds lovely!
Wishing you all a pleasant and happy St George's Day!

Liberty Tue 23-Apr-24 07:48:28

Good morning from a cloudy Suffolk after yesterday’s lovely sunny afternoon. I treated us to Norfolk strawberries and English asparagus yesterday. Local ie 5 miles away asparagus not yet available. Last year there was very little because of a shortage of pickers and I fear that may be the case this year.

Off to meet a friend for coffee this morning and an afternoon, hopefully,in the summerhouse. Our gardener came yesterday morning so the grass has been cut and a general tidy up including getting rid of the Himalayan balsam which was spreading in the pond. He is very careful to avoid our many wild flowers so the cowslips are still delightful.

Best wishes to all.

Jaxjacky Tue 23-Apr-24 07:51:48

Morning from an overcast S Hampshire, good your appointments were on time Mick and Ashcombe, safe journey to oldudders.
It drizzled most of yesterday and was cold, the voluntary phones were full of random calls.
MrJ has been diagnosed with infected sinuses, antibiotics should do the job..
I’m out for lunch with a friend today, a good catch up.
