Good morning all from a sunny a Glasgow, where it is 8°C and forecast to be 18°C.
Happy birthday, Mizuna have a lovely day. It was DIL's birthday yesterday and is DD's fortieth tomorrow.
Susan, you must be exhausted! Take care.
Llfl, I must have missed the post about your sons. My DS1 fell out with us all during the pandemic in the most awful way. He wouldn't speak to either us, nor his siblings. It broke my heart. It hurts us so badly to see our children behaving in this way.
However, please don't despair, our son eventually came round and I'm sure things will resolve themselves. It just takes enormous patience.💐
We had the loveliest of sunny days yesterday, with the most delicious lunch. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and had sea bass in a creamy sauce with baby peas. I love sea bass, but I am not overly keen on mash and peas are my least favourite vegetable. For the first time in a long time, I cleared my plate, it was outstanding. The icing on the cake was a delicious white chocolate cheesecake. It was exquisite.
Today Dollie's mum has decided to come and vet my First Communion outfit. I cannot choose between three dresses and she would like to help. Her parents are causing her great anxiety again and I'm really concerned about her. I try to support her as much as I can, while reminding her, her parents do love her, ( not revealing what I really think of the) they just don't know how to show her and are experts at making her feel guilty.
I suspect she is looking for an excuse to unload her worries.
I wish you all the best of days. GM, I too have the dilemma of not knowing what to wear at this transitional time of the year, so I'm off to have a rummage in my extensive wardrobe.
How on earth did I manage to accumulate so many dresses?
I also have been requested to make Mars Bar cake for the family lunch tomorrow. My two DILs, both talented cake makers, have been battling it out, who is making the cake!
Oh dear!
