I’m watching a programme about Graham Nash and it got me thinking about people in bands from my youth that I had crushes on. But, decades later there were other members of those groups that were largely ignored ( in a fanciable sort of way) that have aged so much better. Graham Nash is one such example. Roger Waters from Pink Floyd (who, imo morphed into Richard Gere). Charlie Watts from The Stones. Rings Starr has aged particularly well. It’s something I’ve often pondered on over the years but never mentioned it before.

I suppose it would be remiss not to mention a Beatle - Paul McCartney for me - such a pretty boy - if he'd have played his cards right I could have been his. 
Back in the day I always thought The Byrds were quite cool - but I'd struggle to remember all of them now.
I had a cousin who was truly into the music scene and actually married a reasonably successful musician - hence I'm able, if bribed, to recount adventures with Jimmy Page and Richie Blackmore, and even Hendrix. But my lips have been sealed for many years and probably will remain so 
David Bowie lived a few doors down from my best friend and we often shared a train carriage with him on a Saturday night en route to the West End. Before he was famous. But I will forever remember his emerald green courdroy trousers and bright red suede desert boots.
And now I'm just an ageing old rat bag growing tomatoes and cucumbers and watching Gogglebox and drinking
