A friend sent me this just now:

Oh I think I have moaned about it on here before Oreo. They bought the house following my lovely neighbours death. It stood empty for a year after they bought it. They then proceeded to spend 18 months and counting renovating it whilst living elsewhere, this included a skip and piles of rubble in the front and damage to our back garden. So I ignore them. I am sure they dont care but makes me happygrin.

That sounds most unlike you Galaxy, so if you’re not speaking to them, they must have behaved badly.

Oh thankyou maddy that's a nice thing to say.

I initially thought that the message from your friend was about the 'International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia' which apparently today is.

But I notice that the leaflet is from a church, although the colours a similar.

I still have no idea what Biphobia is though.

In that case love does not mean affection, trust, sexual desire, companionship, or toleration.

Love in the sense of love thy neighbour is common to almost all the great religions and means doing no harm, plus ordinary human kindness when you get the chance. Love thy neighbour may also mean putting your neighbour before yourself some times , within reason

I can barely tolerate my neighbours.

There’s a house not far from where I live that’s in a similar state, so have every sympathy with you. There’s rubble and even an old broken toilet and washbasin perched on it.It’s been like that for ages, think the owners may be doing it up very slowly at weekends.Encourages rats! My own street isn’t all that salubrious mind you as there’s a couple of rented houses that seems to change tenants a lot, with weed filled gardens and once even an old fridge that sat there for two months.Eventually DP offered to take it away for them in his van which he did, not that they were grateful.

Ah your DP sounds lovely.

I think it’s something to do with kitchen extension folding doors to the garden, and not liking them.🤪😄

Well, he is, but it really meant we were sick of seeing an open fridge on its side fighting the giant dandelions for space in the tiny front garden.😄

I’m glad I don’t do FB. Too much schmaltzy nonsense. Upticks and likes I believe. Not for me.
