Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where the sun is up.

Such sorrow Rosiesmaw 💐
The fragility of life is brought home.

I am going to be an extra today in this film being made in my town. I should look like a passer-by early 1970s!
That shouldn't be too hard. grin

I hope you enjoy the show Bonny Have the best weekend you can everyone.

Good morning from a dry but overcast NE.
Journey home from Derbyshire was uneventful and I slept most of the way.
DD and SIL took me to get some basics to keep me going and then I spent the rest of the day in my pj's and dressing gown. My chest is really uncomfortable and the runny nose is a nuisance. I have felt ill for two weeks, I dread to think what would have happened if I hadn't been vaccinated.
My sister and BIL will visit this afternoon but DS and family are busy, GDs are in the middle of exams and are studying.
My elder sister is travelling back to her home in Germany but will be back again in July.
Wrote a long post yesterday and for reasons unknown it wouldn't post so had to give up.
Enjoy the weekend.

Good morning all and it’s damp here in Essex.

A lovely day yesterday and very hot sitting on the patio at the lunchtime meet up with our pals. I had a hat on, long sleeved top but my face got very red! Must remember the sunscreen on my face but I hate the feel of it.

Dd and I took little DGD to Monkey Business brownie sleep over. Lots of different packs of excited little girls . There were a few who looked tearful and nervous but generally happy and ‘ready to go’. 🤣.

Today I have an afternoon tea in aid of Cancer Research. It’s always well attended with delicious , plentiful food. I’m hoping DD will be well enough to come and grandad will sit in with DGD. She’ll be very tired so he’ll have a quiet afternoon. Him watching footie on tv and nodding off and her snoozing on the sofa .

RosiesMaw how sad ! 💐

I hope you all have a pleasant day and worries and pains are somewhat eased. 🌸

Morning from a humid S Hants with high cloud.
Susan have a lovely break, Bonny enjoy the show.
We watched an exciting football game last night with our grandson, the result means that on the 26th my team play MrJ’s. It’s the BH Sunday we have a family BBQ already planned, should be a good day.
Paper today and if we don’t get rain, watering.
Mr&Mrs Doodle are in my thoughts with others having a tough time, Urms, Kalu.

Good morning everyone from a brightish Northampton; hoping it stays dry as I would like to get to the shops.

So sorry to read your sad news Maw; it encourages us to make the most of every day, as life can turn on a sixpence. flowersflowers

Yesterday turned out beautiful weatherwise; I managed to cut the back grass in the afternoon, even though it was slightly damp from Thursday's rain.
Dancing lessons were exhausting but fun. Having missed so many weeks I was all at sea with new tap routines to learn. Ballet was better with really focussed Barre work, good for the balance and concentration on precise movements.
Most of us went to the garden centre afterwards where we had a good chat, and I enjoyed delicious coffee cake.
Back home to cut the grass then made a curry which I was very pleased with. Three portions left to go in the freezer.

Out on the bus to the shops today for a few extra things.
Steak for dinner tonight.

Enjoy your Saturdays everyone.

Morning all, and confirm that it’s grey and damp here like Gingster has posted.

I need to go to local butchers and shops first thing, the off to DS4’s (just down the road) to look after GD(6) & GS(4) till silly o’clock tonight (more likely early hours of tomorrow 🤣). No doubt they will persuade DH to take us to their favourite Turkish Restaurant round the corner.

RosiesMaw so much grief together with painful joints, rest and just take things easy 😘

Sending (((hugs))) to Doodle , Urmstongran and Kalu along with all other morning friends with troubles or illness.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Really enjoyed coach day trip yesterday, although the driver mixed up Matlock with Matlock Bath and dropped people not doing the cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham in Matlock rather than Matlock Bath😁

The ride was super and the set up at the top was excellent. I went on a tour of the caves, not my thing really but I did enjoy the historical walk throughs with costumes and the history.
Tired today and will enjoy some sunshine. My gardening help is due too.
Shocking news RosiesMaw and I join others with thoughts to Doodle Urms and Kalu💐

Bright sunshine at present but a very damp forecast so will fit in a potter in the garden while it is fine. My sympathy, Maw, sometimes life doesn’t merely throw things at us but hurls them and it is overwhelming. I do find picking myself up and keeping going gets harder with age and deplete energy.

Lots of nice family things going on this morning and I hope everyone’s plans work out cheerfully. Well done, Marydoll, for not falling out with DD. Obviously she has matured!

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 16°C.

Laundry to do today and cleaning bathrooms. The plumber wwill be coming next week to have a look at the leaking shower, it will be good to get it sorted out.

Sorry you’ve had yet more bad news Maw flowers.

I love going to county shows Bonny, hope the weather stays fine for you.

Have the best day you can 🌻

Good Morning from Lancashire: NOT a weary wet weekend, for once. Blazing blue skies and wall-to-wall sun. The only downside is the relentless sound of lawnmowers - isn't there a legal decibel limit on the darn things!

Purplepixie Sat 18-May-24 11:16:48

Rosiemaw - hugs to you.

Good morning from a dull and a bit nippy East Midlands. The sun is supposed to get out later. Great weekend as my youngest son is here until tomorrow afternoon. Life is good.

Good Afternoon from Co Armagh, it’s dull and not warm !
I’ve planted up cucumber plants this morning , sugar snap peas going in this afternoon, I used to be able to keep going , especially in the garden , but I need a rest in between now !
Last art class of the season was good , some of the more adventurous were using pva to stick lentils , rice etc to there paper , painted it all black then picked out highlights in metallic paints , wonderfull results , I needed to get on with my picture , but it looks like I will need to finish it at home or (more likely) come back to it in September !
Have the best day you can everyone x
