Do you dislike wearing makeup as I do?

I don't wear makeup these days, I dislike the feeling of it on my face. I did allow makeup to be applied in the past when I appeared on TV programmes and films, however when I did some filming more recently I refuse to have it applied.

Some women put so much of it on it certainly doesn't improve their looks, and could damage their skin.

Hello, just joined!
I have hardly ever worn make-up. I did dabble a bit in my teens and tolerated a bit on my wedding day to please my mum, but hardly ever since. I don't like gunk on my face and frankly, couldn't be bothered with it.

I like to wear makeup every time I’m going out, just a little face cream, mascara and my favourite chanel lipstick

I love make up,wouldn’t dream of going out without it! Foundation, concealer, blusher, highlighter, eyebrows then eyes and lips.
Watch YouTube videos on how to apply

I don't know how to use make-up. I've tried all sorts over the years but can honestly say I find it a faff, don't like the feel of it, and nowadays hands are too unstead to apply mascara. Never managed eyeliner in my life. My mother was the same, so no help there.

Nowadays there are so many products that do different things and I have not a clue what they are for.

I'm also pretty lazy when it comes to removing make-up, and my night-time routine is "undress, brush teeth, collapse into bed". Not ideal, I am sure.

But then, apart from in my teens, I've never been a beauty visually and even my dress sense is poor, so I've just got used to looking less than my best. I'd love someone to spend some time teaching me these things. My daughters are similar to me so no help really.

Look Fabulous Forever have lots of videos on utube showing you what to use and how to apply it. I find their ‘looks’ too overdone for my taste but the important thing is to find out what to use and how to apply it, then you can decide what suits you.

I used to wear makeup when I was younger. Nowadays it’s just a bit of tinted moisturiser, concealer, blusher and a subtle lipstick. And always something for my eyebrows as I ruined them in the 1970’s and they grew back very thin and patchy. I only wear eye makeup for a special occasion. I’ve found my eyes are very sensitive to eye makeup now and even the brands for sensitive eyes can make them itch.

I'm not one for makeup, the last time I wore some was when my son got married over 10 years ago. I'm not after attracting a member of the opposite sex so folk have to put up with me the way I am.
