OMG the Deputy PM looked a fright walking along Downing Street this afternoon.

Showwaddywaddy called and want their suit back!! 🤣

She looks like she either has no bra on or a badly fitting one. Her boobs are almost down to the waistband of her trousers.

Theresa May always looked really smart and professional. Loved a lot of her outfits.

Agreed. Well, I agree she always looked smart and professional. the outfits she wore suited her and her job.
I liked her "statement necklaces" as a personal touch.

Talking of bin bag clothes, what do yous all think of Plümo clothes? A lot seem very bin-bag-like. Expensive for bin bags too.

Not my style, but then I am not their target demographic.

Me neither, gg.

OK if you like wearing a tent.

A good summary merlotgran. They are all enormous. And if you’re overweight they just make you look even bigger.

Most of their clothing isn’t for me but I do like this coat.

Just acknowledging your last post to me (in response to my reply to yours), but will not take it further as I don't want to create one of those interminable dialogues that stretch for cyber pages where each poster is at pains to emphasise their POV. Especially one which is, basically, about another member who is live on this thread.

I appreciate the points you have made.

On a side - technical - note, I wish GN had a 'nesting' format which I've seen on a couple of other sites where you can comment under a specific post and where others, who aren't interested in it, can easily scroll past. The 'quote' facility we have is useful, but can really disrupt a thread.

JoseAnne you looked lovely

I vaguely remember Judi Dench saying something along the lines of being quite shocked when she caught sight of herself in the mirror, because what she saw did not match with her 'mind's-eye' view of how she saw herself.

That resonated with me.

I have seen fashions and styles which I have loved - and purchased, only to discover that they did not make me look like the image advertised, nor the one I had in my mind's eye. At all.

Most models are tall and skinny. Most mature women are not.

AR's outfit on a tall, willowy model sashaying down the cat-walk would look fantastic. But then, tall, willowy models can wear almost anything and look fantastic. Especially when they are adorned with various accessories that accentuate the clothes, but which are accessories that most ordinary people going about their daily lives would not be able to wear.

AR possibly saw herself in that outfit - in her mind's eye?

Most of their clothing isn’t for me but I do like this coat.

I had a swingy coat when I was 19, they were fashionable then.
Then a duster cost, my SisIL borrowed it when she was pregnant.
Then I had another swingy coat and wore it when I was pregnant 😁

I think I'm too old for that style now.

Had never heard of Plümo, so googled.

All will look great if you are 18, 5 foot 10, and thin as a rake.

Agreed. The company describes it as topaz green. I don’t have much idea of jewellery but always thought topaz was blue. Jade seems much more appropriate.

I think topaz can be all kinds of colours although I thought it was mostly an amber colour.

It's a pale jade I think.

Well, not 18 perhaps.

It was fine, she is fine. Thats all we need to know.

What are we , so hung up on weight and fat?

A sorry state.

Callistemon213 Sat 06-Jul-24 20:53:15

Angela is not fat, she is just right.

The models are far too thin.

JaneJudge Sat 06-Jul-24 20:56:40

JaneJudge Sat 06-Jul-24 20:58:15

Well imagine this, 21 pages largely about Angela Raynor’s clothes. Still it was chosen by the OP so people responded.
It’s not news n politics though, it’s chat. Although chat is usually light hearted which this hasn’t been.

Callistemon213 Sat 06-Jul-24 21:23:54

Yes, it should be under Chat or Style & Beauty.

It's certainly not politics.

It's a only a pair of trousers
Wasn't there a film about that?

nadateturbe Sat 06-Jul-24 21:34:37

21 pages, really??!
