OMG the Deputy PM looked a fright walking along Downing Street this afternoon.

Showwaddywaddy called and want their suit back!! đŸ€Ł

She looks like she either has no bra on or a badly fitting one. Her boobs are almost down to the waistband of her trousers.

Yes, it should be under Chat or Style & Beauty.

It's certainly not politics.

It's a only a pair of trousers
Wasn't there a film about that?

Of course this is in the right place. Angela Rayner became Deputy Prime Minister yesterday. It is therefore current news.

Iam64. The Deputy Prime Minister’s surname is RAYNER not RAYNOR.

You both chose to join the discussion. It’s very easy not to if it doesn’t interest you. 😉

Yes, I chose to.
But it's clothes, not politics.

Angela Rayner has been deputy leader since 2022

Wyllow3 Sat 06-Jul-24 21:57:56

correct "I see is under the chat forum"

Anniebach Sat 06-Jul-24 22:03:16

Sorry, Angela Rayner has been deputy leader since 2020, she was elected not appointed

*AR's outfit on a tall, willowy model sashaying down the cat-walk would look fantastic*

It was fine, she is fine. Thats all we need to know.

What are we , so hung up on weight and fat?

A sorry state.

What are we , so hung up on weight and fat?

If you read what I said, I was making a general observation about fashion. Clothes usually are modelled by skinny and tall women, for a reason... designers don't normally choose average women with their various shapes and sizes to model them.

And I did not suggest that AR was fat. She isn't, and if she was I wouldn't have mentioned it either. I have never commented on any politician's or public figure's body size or shape.

The point I was making was in relation to Judi Dench's comment about her 'internal' image of herself, something I think a lot of us might experience - including AR - because that is why the fashion industry markets the way it does, they're selling us an image.

Please don't police my comments looking for something to pin on me that isn't there.

Are you pleased with yourself? đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł.

Whatever, it is still the most replied to thread in recent weeks.🙂

How did your thread get moved if you didn't ask for it Primrose? I once asked for a thread I started to be deleted, but GNHQ wouldn't oblige. Anyway, yours has been very popular!

zakouma66 Sun 07-Jul-24 08:17:10

I think she has put on weight and chose an outfit which hid the extra fat

like a lot of clothes it looks a lot better on a tall, thin, small busted woman

Tasteful on someone a couple of sizes smaller perhaps

Horrible really and I'm not policing anything. Have a nice day everybody whatever size you are.

Joseann Sun 07-Jul-24 08:22:09

Victoria here, Beckham or Starmer, take your pick janejudge, you made me laugh! Maybe you thought it was me because I said I was wearing a green dress to a wedding yesterday, which I did with aplomb of course! (Photo provided, if you wish!)

Seriously, though, Dickens, is spot on. Fabrics do not hang the same on average size bodies with curves - be that ample busts, rotund tummies or large bottoms. The cloth will just cling and crease, unless you wear such a big size as to look like a tent. On a skinny tall frame the garment will show itself off to its best.
Dickens was not hung up at all on weight and fat.

Yet again, I can't comprehend what I'm reading.

Nor I?

If she was trying to choose an outfit which would hide any excess weight she failed spectacularly. She’s not overweight but (courtesy of the boob job?) she has quite a large bust and the clothes she has chosen over the last couple of days would indeed have looked better on a smaller busted woman. The jacket of the trouser suit, for instance, is supposed to be worn fastened and without a shirt underneath. Anyway I doubt we’ll be seeing that again. I hope not, anyway.

Joseann Sun 07-Jul-24 08:54:30

To be fair, I sometimes find AR funny. About her boob job, she said she had it when she was 30 because her breasts looked like “two boiled eggs in socks”, or “basset hound ears^".
I wouldn't say that if they were mine, but she has no filter!!

Not as bad as I thought then Callistemon grin

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 07-Jul-24 09:04:44

Why did she even have to mention the boob job? It’s not exactly edifying.

Joseann Sun 07-Jul-24 09:05:39

Going for the 1000?

Joseann Sun 07-Jul-24 09:09:41

1000 posts that is!

There's still a long way to go to reach 1,000 posts.

I'd rename the thread Trousergate
Or The Wrong Trousers.

That's what I find worrying.

Did you know ....... useless information coming up ..... there is a National Wrong Trousers Day? It was set up to raise funds for for Bristol Childrens' Hospital and since that, went nationwide to raise money for children's hospitals and hospices across the country. Basically you wear your wackiest trousers to school.
I think it is July 1st, so AR was a couple of days late!
