Angela Rayner ghastly trouser suit

OMG the Deputy PM looked a fright walking along Downing Street this afternoon.

Showwaddywaddy called and want their suit back!! đŸ€Ł

She looks like she either has no bra on or a badly fitting one. Her boobs are almost down to the waistband of her trousers.

I think GSM hasn’t coped very well with Labour winning the GEđŸ€·â€â™€ïž

That made me chuckle LizzieDrip 😂

Perhaps they could show the video of ‘poor old Boris’ giving his Pepper Pig speech to remind us that ‘this was our PRIME MINISTER’!

I wouldn't normally pick posters up on their spelling LizzieDrip but I just had a message from Ms Peppa Pig to say her name is Peppa, not Pepper đŸ·

There is a difference between saying someone looks a state (as BJ often did) and calling a woman a tart and her child ‘illegitimate’ and suggesting that anyone who objects to such sexism and snobbishness has lower standards than yourself. A huge difference.

Callistemon213 Fri 05-Jul-24 23:03:54

Maybe you shudder but that's just your opinion. The loose trousers are very fashionable right now. Maybe not all on GN are aware.

Yes, I am and think they are most unflattering.

Nicely cut wider trousers can look fine but Angela's looked as if there was room for another person inside them.

Agreed Oreo. I have never criticised Teresa May’s clothes, she always looked good, particularly the cool shoes. I really liked Ashtaka Murphy’s dress yesterday, and said so. I love fashion, regardless of politics - I just don’t like people being called tarts for no reason.

Anniebach Fri 05-Jul-24 23:07:18

Agree Doodledog I find this ‘look at her, look at me’ nasty but also sad, there surely is a need and calling someone
illegitimate is really nasty

Churchview Fri 05-Jul-24 23:08:59

Germanshepherdsmum "She has no taste and no idea how to dress for the part. Whatever she wears, she looks like a tart."

What a dreadful way to speak about a woman who is perfectly well dressed and going to her job.

Angela Rayner and other women MPs receiving death and rape threats to the extent that they have to have panic buttons in their homes and you say this.

Shame on you.

I understand that😃

I always thought Teresa May’s trousers were too short, but I knew it was just her style. I like fashion too, and like most of us prefer some styles over others.

I loved Victoria Starmer’s dress last night. Or was it this morning? The tomato red one. It’s from Me &M if anyone else liked it and has the figure to carry it off (unlike me).

and remind us of Boris calling Muslim women "letterboxes" and gay men "tank-topped bum boys".
Hiding in a fridge.......
Lying about parties.... .
Illegitimate children......

Then I hope she hasn’t seen the wonderful Jess Phillips just now on The Last Leg having who hasn’t slept for about two days and had just arrived home from the pub.

GSM I think you’d be surprised at just how many professional women contribute to Gransnet. Law, medicine, finance, education.
Many of us, like you, have been forced to conform. Some of us had to wear black in court every day and have quietly rebelled with lovely turquoise underwear.
If I was Deputy PM I would stick to lovely black underwear and stride out in a turquoise trouser suit.

I really loved it too Doodledog she’s a very attractive woman and looked so good in it.Looking forward to seeing more of her on tv/ papers as she seems to have the style and similar figure to Samantha Cameron.

I liked it too.

If I wore it I'd look like a sack of oats tied in the middle.

Remember the old saying “clothes don’t make a person”. It’s true.

Hear hear. Well said!

Had begun to wonder if I was in an alternative universe where a trouser suit mattered more than people's real lives and difficulties and happinesses and trying to make things better and.....

Doodledog Fri 05-Jul-24 23:22:17

It’s so much easier if you are tall and slim. Anne Widdicombe has some unusual choices in clothes (although I suspect she’s got a stylist these days) but nobody comments on that. Rightly so, IMO. People should have enough to say about their politics not to have to sink to insults about MPs’ appearance.

Oops, sorry Ms Pig, of course your name is Peppa - silly me. I’m a bit tired tonight - it’s been an exhausting 24 hours heregrin

What AR was wearing was truly awful. Tasteless, unflattering and unprofessional. Ghastly. She needs to learn some lessons about dressing professionally.

Some on GN need lessons on good manners. We get that you are terrified of a Labour govt, but it does not give you the right to be rude. For someone who is forever boasting about her tenacity and grit and achievements in the rarified world of property development, you are very quick to slap down other women such as Angela Rayner who has achieved even more than you, despite starting from a much tougher place.

I've calmed her down now 😃
