Angela Rayner ghastly trouser suit

OMG the Deputy PM looked a fright walking along Downing Street this afternoon.

Showwaddywaddy called and want their suit back!! 🤣

She looks like she either has no bra on or a badly fitting one. Her boobs are almost down to the waistband of her trousers.

Know your name sound's cross Crossstitch etc but do you have to be?

Agree that Victoria Starmer looked lovely in her red dress. Agree too that Samantha Cameron always looked very smart.
Personally I’m not a fan of the trouser suit.
Different strokes for different folks.

I’ve really no right to comment because I didn’t either Angela Rayner or Lisa Nandy. But it’s interesting reading all your comments.
I did see Mrs Sunak and Mrs Starmer and thought they both looked lovely, and appropriate for the occasion. So did their husbands.

I didn’t see
I should have proof read

At least Germanshepherdsmum does not attack other posters like Crosstitch does.

GSM's attack was on a politician and they have always seemed to be fair game over the years on Gransnet.

Suddenly St Angela can do no wrong.
She is not averse to making verbal attacks herself.

Crossstitchfan

So many people are complaining to GN and directly to Germanshepherdsmum about her nastiness and yet she is still posting on here! How is that happening?? How can a person who constantly insults other posters still be allowed to post?
I find it hard to believe that she can actually come out with some of the comments she posts. She must have a very sad and miserable life to hate others so much. Poor woman.

Blimey! Don’t hold back!

How do you know ‘so many people are complaining to GN?’

GSM constantly insults other posters?

🤔🤔

I lost respect for Angela Rayner when she casually referred to Rishi Sunak as a pint-sized loser.

I realise the House can be a bit of a bear-pit at times but there has to be a line which you don't cross and IMO, she crossed it.

It's one thing to use salty language if you are involved in the cut and thrust of political argument but to mock someone for a perceived physical defect is ignorant.

Boris Johnson made similar gaffes and I have no respect for him, either.

I can’t imagine judging a woman in such an important position by how supportive I felt her bra was. Says a lot more about the person doing the judging I say.

I believe there is a long running thread in the crafting category called "Stitch and bitch,"

This one is more of a "Snitch and Bitch".

So much blatant snobbery on Gransnet about the Deputy Prime Minister.sad

I have reported crossstichfan for her nasty posts directed to GSM, who is one one the most helpful professional contributers on GN.

BlueBelle Sat 06-Jul-24 05:39:30

Well GSM has been neither kind or considerate or helpful tonight, karmalady embittered nasty and darn right mysogynustic
A real disappointment that any woman can personally attack another woman because her politics don’t fit
I think it’s shown some posters in a very different light

Her boobs look appropriately placed on her body

Of course Me+Em is a good modern British brand.

Here's their current offering of wide-leg trousers:

Clearly, some members of the public liked the fashion choices made:-

I’m sad to read such unpleasant personal comments being made about newly appointed ministers on a thread that is now degenerating into sniping at other contributors. Disappointing.

I think she has put on weight and chose an outfit which hid the extra fat. Not a good choice.
Rachel Reeves looked very smart and professional. She looks as though she has been practising posing for the camera.

LovelyCuppa Sat 06-Jul-24 06:36:13

What a nasty thread. Gransnet you are not coming across very well here.

Joseann Sat 06-Jul-24 06:37:51

Perhaps AR was channeling her inner Posh?

NotSpaghetti Sat 06-Jul-24 06:40:52

Thanks Ashcombe I hadn't seen the article but I knew it was a Me+Em as my daughter fancied one for a wedding (but is waiting for the sales!).

Einna Sat 06-Jul-24 06:42:02

Intrigued by the comments on here I looked up the news video of Angela Rayner. I thought her suit looked elegant and unusual and clean and new, but the wind was blowing it around her legs. Indoors it would hang nicely like long culottes. I like the outfit.

(BTW what does a tart look like ? I don’t know any. TV plays etc are not Real Life.)

Mutti Merkel carried a lot of extra weight especially in the latter days, but she always looked understatedly stylish in her trousers and jacket. I think it was because the jacket was long enough to skim her Hintern.

Tuaim Sat 06-Jul-24 06:52:36

For me, Angela Rayner looked perfectly booted and suited in her trouser suit. It is a new generation with new fashion. She is part of the movement to take us forward. Gone are the days of tailored skirt suits among these young power women. She is not part of the Margaret Thatcher or Theresa May brigade who were of their time. Also, when you think how far she has come in her career which her sheer determination and drive, she is an example to many young women who now seem to have to have career, be fashion icons and single mothers. I laud her. Good luck to her!

SporeRB Sat 06-Jul-24 06:54:49

Mrs Starmer and Mrs Sunak both looked lovely. Angela Rayner looked as if she was about to join the circus instead of the cabinet at No. 10.

I am not keen on Angela Rayner. In 2022, she claimed twice her salary approximately £160k as expenses. Another case of ‘We are all equal but some of us are more equal than others’ (George Orwell)

She is into total nuclear disarmament, if she gets her way, UK will become defenceless and a sitting target.

She is a bit (dare I say it) chavy and proud of it.
