It’s grey here in S E Essex, and surprise surprise we have heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast 😡☔️🙈

I have GS here until he goes into school at 10.15am (football lay-in for pupils) DD has got an appointment first thing.

Off to the gym at 10.30am, then I need to sort my stuff for staying at DS3’s whilst he and his gorgeous wife are off to Ibiza and I will keep an eye on the teens. I am hoping for nice weather, I will pretend I am on my holidays and spend hours at the beach or just walking along beside it.

Have a good day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk where I think this weather is to continue all day.

I’m off to meet a friend for coffee and we are going to look at the brochure for a short holiday together next spring. We had such fun in Eastbourne in March that we thought we would make it an annual event.

Thinking of those for whom today might be a struggle and hoping there is a ray of sunshine amongst the worries.

Good morning from a dry Lincolnshire, for now anyway.
Yesterday DS drove DIL and GD2 to Newark and they took the train to London. GD1 drove me and her BF to the supermarket.
The weather was miserable especially after lunch when we went for our steam train ride.
We had dinner early in preparation for the football match, DS was not happy, he turned the sound off after half time. England got the result they deserved.
Just before I went to bed GD2 sent photos and videos of the concert in Hyde park, she said it was amazing and was so happy to see her favourite group live.

My sister is travelling from Germany to my home town today but every other family member is away on holiday.
Hope we have some 🌞 today.

Good morning from a sunny Essex coast.
Trips to the Post Office and Pharmacy this morning.
A busy week ahead getting ready for going away on Saturday.
We are taking our boat on a trip up the Thames and will be away for about 4 weeks. So much to take onboard and try and find places to stow it all away.
I also do the accounts for the Yacht club so have lots to prepare for them whilst we are away.
I hope you all have a lovely day and hopefully find some sunshine along the way xx

Good morning all from the Black country sun shining but for how long we shall have to wait and see.
DH sanded the side gate yesterday ready for painting he just needs a dry day now.
I have some more books for the charity shop and need to call into chemist to see if the rest of DH prescription is ready.
Lovely colourful garden GM.
Thoughts with Urms and himself.
Safe travels those on the move, enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning everyone from the Scottish Borders.
It looked nice earlier but cloudy now.
I'm going on the U3A coastal walk which is brave for me because of my dodgy hip but I can get the bus back to the start , I hope.
I'm not yet ready to accept my incapacities.
It was a lovely day yesterday apart from the football ⚽️ which was far too stressful. Do people really pay £££ to watch!
Have a great time in Finland LLFL

Pretty flowers gMattie
Don't look after the boys if you are unwell Grandmabatty. A parent will have to step in.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning all from the Angus coast where it is as grey and damp as ever. St Swithin's Day eh? Oh dear. Never mind - I love September!!
Nothing to report from here, other than I so enjoyed the tennis yesterday - what an amazing match!
Sorry you're feeling unwell Grandmabatty - I hope the little boys are good for you today.
Enjoy yourselves, all the holidaymakers. Both Helsinki and sailing up the Thames sound very inviting.
Your flowers look lovely grandmattie.
I'm off now to work out how to empty the dust out of my new hoover - such excitement!!
Have a good day everyone x

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, it’s lovely and mild and I have liberated a summer top from my unopened till yesterday summer clothes case.

Yesterday was really lovely, literally the first warm day this year. DD2 and DGD3 arrived and took me to Largs and Portencross for the day. They had never visited the latter and were really impressed. Well DD was, DGD was wondering when we were going to eat! After an ice cream at Nardini’s too!

And the sunny sky has appeared again today in time for me to head into Giffnock to greet the returning travellers, I’m looking forward to some hugs. They had a lovely holiday in France but, like here the weather was a bit below par. Lots of cycling done though.

I hope you enjoy Helsinki Llfl, my nephew and his family have lived there for seven years now and are really happy with the Finnish way of life.

Thoughts and prayers to all who need them x

Sar53 how exciting, enjoy your Thames Adventure.

Already the sky is so dark that I need the lights on so expect the forecast heavy rain any time. It will have to be an indoor day I think but there is a pile of books waiting my attention so that’s not a problem. Meanwhile I hope that we all have a satisfactory day despite the sporting disappointment.

Good morning from Central Scotland where it is dry and reasonably bright at the moment but not set to last. It was our 51st wedding anniversary yesterday and this is the card I received! Does anyone else have a husband/ partner who won’t admit that it can actually be his fault! Visit from DS and DGd’s yesterday was lovely to see them. Not much happening here today though DH is going to cut the grass before the rain and I must nip out to the shops. Meeting Sister in law for coffee tomorrow and looking forward to Jersey soon weather looks mixed though.

Good morning all from Severnside. I’ll leave you to guess the weather….no prizes.
