I love those dunes hollysteers. Which county?

Some beautiful imagery here, and photos. One day I would like to go to the UK. I can picture some of it in my mind from all the books I have read over the years. I have been to Jersey, so loved the seaside and lovely green fields.

The lake, five minutes walk from my home near Lincoln where I spend half my time.
And a sunset view from the place where I spend the other half the time - my partner's home in South Yorkshire.

I'm in the South of Germany. Unspoilt by tourists, but miles - light years! - from the sea. There is so much h wonderful countryside around here I wouldn't know where to start posting pictures. We have forests, rivers and acres of vineyards

Just been to Woolacombe North Devon such a beautiful part of country but a long drive from Herts would like to take grandkids but they wouldn't like the journey. Also in Southwold atm camping next to beach beautiful

Went to Southend College of Technology and when we had a free period we either went to Keddies or the pier.

Every day is a achool day Shiname. Mortehoe I see when googling is near Woolacombe. DH and I slept in the back of a mini van for a week cooking on a gas canister cooker above
Putsborough sands near Woolacombe. In our early 20s. We bought wooden body boards which we still have. They must be vintage now. Lovely coastline in N Devon.

And I actually went to primary school in Woolacombe 😁

Shiname. Is that Constantine Bay?

No,it’s Grunta beach in Mortehoe North Devon..
So called because many years ago a ship ran aground with a cargo of pigs. There is even a pool there called pigs pit…🐷🐷🐷

I live in between 2 lakes. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach for me.

I love the two DDs Devon and Dorset. We had a lovely week in Kingsbridge, South Hams last year.

I'm in Devon, near Dartmoor. Down a long country lane with fields and lots of trees. It's wonderful.

These are the grounds of a NT house about ten minutes drive from my home in West Oxfordshire.

LLFL I'm guessing Witney? Farringdon? Oxfordshire is a lovely county. One son lives Thame way. My husband had business partners in Witney so he knows that area fairly well. We often find ourselves driving through your country, we have friends further up in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire.

Thanks Helter Skelter, from last year, I think the bunting was up for the Coronation.

We are situated, thus, Surrey Hills, a few miles to the north, South Downs and south coast about 12 miles to the south. Guildford about 20 odd miles to the west.
