We are all reeling from the dreadful reports about the stabbings in Stockport. One thing I find hard to understand is why the monster responsible for them cannot be named ‘for legal reasons’. I understand this to be because he is under 18.
In my opinion, if he is old enough to carry out this unforgivable act, he is old enough to be named and shamed. What does everyone else think?
I hope all those affected by this will find peace. My heart goes out to them.

I wish we didn't have to see his face in the papers and on tv or hear his name ever again.
I think, all we can hope, is that the names and faces of the little girls will remain in memories far longer than the disgusting face of that evil monster.

Do you recall Jacinta Arden, then Prime Minister of New Zealand, following a similar tragedy, refusing to say the name of the perpetrator in any broadcasts that she made?
Her view was that he should not receive any publicity and only the names of the victims should be aired.
