Evening Kitcheners. It's cold here so I have put the heating on for a while. Dgs2 was on good form this morning and had completed two masterpieces at playgroup. He was not happy that mummy came to take him home. I have put out all my autumn decorations because it was so blooming cold today. It hit 0° this morning. So my house looks cosy and autumnal. Dd surprised me with a visit this afternoon and brought dgs1 along. Then my aunt and uncle appeared. So I've had a busier day than expected. I have hoovered (twice) and emptied and loaded the dishwasher and tidied the kitchen. Now I'm watching Indiana Jones before heading bedward to read. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners.

Hi all, the temperature is dropping here too Grandmabatty I’ll be pressing that switch in a minute, but three pairs of jeans dried in the sun today.
After the washing I went for a walk around the block, nothing near the length of yours brook, Tesco delivered, all present and correct. Then it was down to the local to catch up on news from the regulars, home to make pasta sauce, et voilà, dinner made and then gone. Last episode of Sherwood later, bed won’t be late.

Good evening dear Kitcheners, today I actually felt hungry! I was up and dressed by 10:30, BP was 101 / 73. MrB went to the village butcher and bought some spicy chilli burgers made with locally reared Aberdeen Angus steak and hot peppers, they’re not for the faint hearted! They’re a rare treat so we don’t feel too guilty 😊. Now watching the film Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines. Wasn’t James Fox handsome? He probably still is but I haven’t seen him recently. Sending you all healing thoughts and a little happiness 🌺. Goodnight x

‘Evening All’.

Just popping in to say hello. We are enjoying our holiday in Ibiza. It rained today! An afternoon of book reading for me while Himself enjoyed watching a Netflix film on his iPad. My stepfather (we chat to each other every day, taking turns) was delighted to tell me it was sunny at home!

fgt2 I hope it’s sunny in Ibiza tomorrow, it was sunny here today but quite cold. Certainly not warm enough for sitting around outside.
nannyg4 there’s no place like your own home and your own bed. Enjoy the safe feeling and the comfort it brings.
I’m tucked up in bed, put the 7 tog duvet on the bed today as I was cold last night. The summer weight duvet is aired and put away ready for next year.

A warmer day today, so cut down the hollyhocks and cleared some of the ivy at the back of the garden. Had to give up because my back wasn’t happy!
Got washing dry outside, now have a heap of ironing to do.
DD1 and her family came over for a while this afternoon and she cleared a top shelf in the kitchen for me, I can’t reach it any more. I got some dishes out from their hiding place under the sideboard and she took one home. Hopefully her sister may take some next time she comes over. I don’t need serving dishes that hold food for 12 people any more. I was surprised that there weren’t any spiders under the sideboard.

Good evening Kitcheners. I have dgs1 here for a sleepover. He has been busy playing with Lego, his new obsession. He has also been teaching me how to play mario on the Nintendo Switch and was raging I beat him. I've no idea how. He's feeling a bit off he says and is a bit sniffly. However we are having fun. Proper hot chocolate and popcorn later for him. I'm having quiche and salad later. The weather is most definitely not sunny here. It's pouring rain and windy. Take care all

Cold and damp here, yesterday was drier and brighter. We had a good walk to collect The Wee Boy from school. 🔆 He fell off his scooter so I carried it home while
he squeezed in-between his Papa's knees and got a lift on the mobility scooter. 🤣
They both enjoy that!

GP was pleased with my knee, she says I'm building up muscle around it, so the exercises must be helping. That is good to know cos it still doesn't seem 'right' to me. Maybe that's what happens with OA, this is all fairly new to me.

A Saturday evening visit to the Kitchen for me. I’m mostly in the Quiet Corner for now but I thought I’d report to those who’ve been following my flood story that today we’ve had pretty much the last piece of work done - replacing the book shelves that were ruined. At last I can empty all the boxes and hopefully finally have order restored to the house.

I’ve brought some M&S chocolate-covered custard creams for you to snack on and there’s a jug of hot chocolate for you all to help yourself to, cream and marshmallows on the side.

Pulled up some dead plants, I’m cross I didn’t put the garden bin out to be emptied when we were away, it’s nearly full, might be a tip trip soon.

Suedonim it's been such a long haul for you. I'm glad it's coming to an end. Grannmarie I'm glad your knee is building muscle and your exercises obviously are paying off.
Dgs1 has had his bath and is eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate while watching cartoons. He's normally in bed by now, but is getting to stay up because he's at his grandma's. He's been no bother at all. I'm glad of the company to be honest.

NannyG4 hope you’re safely home and coping ok. I like being home in some ways because DH and I were so happy here but it’s also where I miss him so much. I can picture him sitting in his chair beside me. I still keep his headphones and pen iPad and phone on his table next to his chair. 😢

A busy day here, a visit to DD2s and a lovely relaxing walk by the river. Gardening this afternoon, it was windy but not too cold
