Cloudy sky and showers promised but no plans so a leisurely start to the day, some marmalade making (using Mamade which is very successful when adding a couple of lemons and using less sugar) because I am on my last jar will be a high light. Have enjoyed the athletics from Paris and am full of admiration for the competitors. Even in my distant prime I was no good at any form of sport other than tennis but I admire talent and the hard work which gets the competitors on to the world stage.

Good morning, it’s overcast in Co Armagh, but not too chilly
Mass this morning, then coffee in the local coffee house if I can catch my pal !
I have a returns parcel to post , then after all that excitement I am making a fruit loaf in the airfryer , and get more crochet done
Hope we have a peaceful day

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Windsor. I had a good journey down from the north and my DD picked me up at Euston instead of me taking my usual route to her by tube and train, which I appreciated. She was bothered by the current national situation which thankfully proved not to be as bad as we all feared.

In the evening out for a nice meal and her guest bedroom has lots of nice touch, chocolates, magazines, flowers etc.
We are off now to see the changing of the guard at the castle and I’ll pay my rest to our late Queen in the chapel.
So sorry you had such a horrible experience grandmattie and thoughts to all💕

Good morning.from a bright and sunny Northampton, but the forecast is for dark clouds and showers later on, so will not bother with any washing.
No plans to go out today so will catch up with a few household bits and pieces, and deal with the Sainsbury's delivery later this morning.
Shall probably sit and read/knit/watch the Olympics this afternoon. Have just started making a knitted cat with colouring to match my two Birmans.

An easy dinner tonight of tagliatelle with a nice home-made tomato sauce.

Hope our day turns out well.

Good morning from a sunny NE but forecast is for rain this afternoon.
Sister and BIL came yesterday but sister was not well so she stayed in the house while I went shopping with BIL.
Had a vegetable curry for dinner and watched some TV.
There was a big police presence in the town centre yesterday but when I checked at bedtime there had been no rioting.
I just settled down when my tummy started grumbling and hurting, couldn't decide whether it was the curry or a bug. I had to visit the bathroom several times so did not try to sleep. Watched TV on my tablet until things quietened down.
Quiet day today making sure I rehydrate.
Hope all under the weather feel better soon and injuries are less painful.
