We're in the south east and it's been almost chilly here today. It's made me look through my wardrobe. I need to buy some new bits and pieces for winter but just don't know what my style is any more. I'm nearly eighty, have quite a rural life, have clothes for more dressy occasions when needed, ie skirts and dresses but most of my day to day outfits are leggings and tops. As we get into winter I'll also wear M&S thermals as layers too. Had a look in M&S and Next today. All the warmish tops (sweat shirty things etc) are so unfeminine somehow, the shoulders droop down almost to the elbows, the slim fit tops would possibly need something over the top as the weather cools.
I've really just lost all sense of what would look good but also slightly fashionable. I did see some "comfort" jeggings in M&S and they really look comfortable but am I too old or does age not matter? I'm a size 14 bottom and possibly 12/14 top.
Can anyone give me some ideas of where to look for clothes that fit but are comfortable and look reasonable. I really have lost the plot!
