No-one says she has to used the implement! I would have suggest to my DH that he having bought it was welcome to use it!

Any long handled brush and scouring powder will do the job if you find bending hard.

My mum went mad at my Dad if he got her anything domestic for Christmas! And he kept doing it!

I’m trying to (not) to imagine how your husband used it as a bachelor’s toy.

We got ours when my mum came to stay with us. She said it eased her aches and pains. Then it got to the stage where she couldn’t get in and out of the bath, so we had a shower cubicle installed instead of the over bath one.
I enjoyed a few long soaks in it too, but now I just think of the amount of water to fill it past the outlets.

I have used oven cleaner, Easy-Off, etc, on rental showers/baths that were left really scuzzy. Spray on, wait 5 minutes and scrapped it off with throw-away towels. Follow with a good rinse.

On my personal bath/shower, I use this stuff off Amazon, Wet & Forget. If you start with a clean shower and spray this every 6-7 showers, there's no scrubbing.

On a slightly neglected shower, you may need to scrub it off with a sponge. Under regular use, just spray, let sit overnight, and rinse the next day.

Am 😂 about husband's bachelor toy and also a bit 🙄🤮

I just use washing up liquid and a washing up brush (bought specifically) and there is nothing like a bit of Jif.

I would love a whirlpool bath though...

Thanks Doodledog -any suggestion for easy bath cleaning is welcome whether it's a gizmo or products .
Years ago , a plumber told me never to use an abrasive product because it creates millions of invisible scratches making it harder to clean .

Buy a spin mop and just use a third of the handle, spray whatever cleaning spray you like then whiz around the bath with the mop…ta da

Just rinse then dry with towel that’s going into wash anyway.
To be fair the bath is only used by dog and baby if we are having a sleepover. Not at the same time ……..

I use bleach and some washing up liquid and an old loofah to clean my bath. It does a great job quickly and it doesn't hurt my back.

I have found the H3 all purpose spray works on my enamel bath. Just spray it on, leave a couple minutes wipe down and then rinse. I also use a long handled sponge to minimise bending as I also suffer severe back pain.

I like Goingtobeagrannys idea of a spin mop and might give it a try

I would just go down on my knees at the side of the bath if I didn't like bending. Cleaning the bath, as it's never used for bathing I just put a smudge of washing up liquid on a micro cloth, wet the bath and wipe around then rinse off. Done.

Zuzu, I’ve got Wet & Forget in the garage for cleaning the patio! Does it work in bathrooms too?

I use elbow grease spray. Always stand in the bath when I clean it, much easier. If there is limescale soak with white vinegar then rinse off after half an hour. Repeat if very encrusted.

I live in an area with a very high limescale problem but Viakal is brilliant, spray it on leave for a couple of minutes and clean off - sparkling taps, tiles and bath!!

Nora I had a mental vison of your husband standing there spraying himself with vinegar and giving himself a wipe down ;-)
