Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry outside here in brackley at the moment .
My usual routine bus to Bicester , shop and chat with those I know .
Visited the chippy at lunchtime and get some Fish & Chips , before a relaxing afternoon.
Health wise OK , a mix of good and bad days when out walking .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all. Yesterday turned out to be a pleasant, milder day. Today, damp and dreich. I realised I was wishing my life away, yearning for spring so time to make the most of what I do have. Onwards and sideways.

I was determined to plough through my to do list yesterday and managed to achieve clearing a decent chunk of it. The reward was having an after school treat at a local cafe with GD2, (15). Although we all see each other often, it’s lovely to spend one on one time with my 4 girls. We had a good time together with her telling me she would like to make this a regular after school catch up now and again.

No plans for today as such, the day is mine to do whatever I feel like doing. Hopefully some gardening.

Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning from a greyish Suffolk where the trees in the garden are still and looking lovely in burnished gold colours.

I’m off to London for a long weekend to meet up with my 4 very dear school friends. It is 67 years since we started in the 1st form at a northern girls’ grammar school and, although we’ve all had very different lives,we retained a deep interest and affection for one another.

We all have our DHs and feel very blessed. Apart from hours spent in conversation,we’ll have dinner at a delightful family run Italian restaurant very close to where we are staying. They treat us like honoured guests because of our age and their respect for the elderly.

We also will do an escorted tour in the British Museum….Around the world in 90 minutes…. Where s selection of the exhibits will be shown over several floors. Several years ago we did a similar visit in the V&A and it was excellent.

About to have a cuppa and read your posts. Wishing you all a peaceful weekend especially those troubled by illness or worries. I’ll take a break from social media as I usually do when away and hope to post again on Tuesday.

Good morning from dull N. Bucks but at least it is not raining.
Sorry to hear such sad news from several of you.
I have a manicure this morning and some housework to do. Then I have to sort out what has happened to a parcel that the Royal Mai says they delivered yesterday.. No sign of it here and we have a camera door bell plus DH was in all day.
The rest of the day will be spent making up packs for craft projects.
Wishing everyone a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
There was an amazing sky last night with a very bright moon, I thought there might have been frost but it stayed at about 7 degrees.
Nothing planned for today so might make some soup.
Have a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey, damp and gloomy Carlisle. It has evidently rained overnight.

I'm feeling grey and gloomy too after a poor night's sleep...I'm sickening for something again and my injured shoulder is painful. Still, I feel I am perking up after a mug of coffee from a different brand from my usuals and a stronger roast. I'm rather getting to like it.
Yesterday I got the ironing done and then popped in to the dentist re my denture repair. I'm to take it in Monday and will be without it for 2 days so I shall be in purdah for those! Not really, there's only 2 teeth on it and I'm not one to worry about appearances.

I'm not planning anything today, perhaps I'll even indulge in daytime TV though it's against my puritanical nature and even evening watching is limited. One thing I will do is cancel my covid jab tomorrow, the last 2 have given me side effects, I don't need those at the moment.

Have the best possible day everyone.

Rather a sad set of posts this morning, it really does feel like November. Oldies’ coffee morning when I will have charge of my dear neighbour with dementia. Her DH is now settled in the hospice and she has written him off and is talking as if he has already died. Driving her DD mad so I feel I must help if I can.

The forecast promises sunshine so I might have a potter in the garden later as there is always something to do.

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. I am late this morning, having slept in which is very unusual for me. The window cleaner has arrived so a good excuse to stay in bed until he has departed. He does not clean my bedroom window due to poor access! I do wish he would let me know when he is coming rather than hearing the ladder hitting the bathroom window first with no warning!!!
No plans today apart from catching up on housework and ironing and then the bowling club dinner tonight, well 6 pm which seems rather early to me!
I’m sorry to read so much sadness on the threads today and send my heart felt best wishes to all.
Karma I am amazed at what you are doing at your allotment, do take care on that ladder.
Hope everyone has the best day possible 💐

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Fairly dull start but what a fabulous haloed moon last night! It's full tonight.

I am full of the cold and feeling fluey so have called off work. Now I don't know what to do.
🤔
Karmalady you amaze me with all you do!

Good to see you posting Kalu and enjoying your garden and family.

Here are flowers, sent as a photo, from a favourite garden in NZ.

I hope everyone can find some joy today.

Good morning from Rufford ( change of plan regarding our walk). Beautiful wander around a nature reserve, bird hides and canals yesterday in the Autumn mist, then some sunshine.
Up and about already as we're on our way shortly to explore Rufford Old Hall.
Such sad news this morning on GN regarding friends, neighbours and loved ones taken far too soon. Life can indeed turn on a sixpence. A reminder to enjoy each day as it comes.
Wishing all a peaceful day.

Good morning everyone from the Essex coast where it is grey and miserable and probably cold.
I'm sorry to hear of all the sadness on here this morning. Life changes so quickly.
DGD2 has her much awaited meeting with her Asthma Consultant today, I have my fingers crossed that she has some answers. DD1 and SIL are going with a list of questions that they will put to her.
This evening we are going to the Yacht Club as its the last night for our current Commodore before a new one is appointed at our AGM on Sunday.
Have the best day you can and best wishes to all xxx

Good morning everyone from a damp but (seemingly) mild south Manchester. We put our key in the door at one minute past midnight I felt like Cinderella! The apartment was baltic brr! We jumped unto our pyjamas PDQ and dived under the heavy winter duvet, snug as bugs.

It’s so nice to be home. We love our happy place but we love here too! Lucky us.

Himself has an appointment over the road at the nail salon to have all his nails professionally snipped. A foot massage too - a treat he enjoys, deservedly so, once every three weeks.

There’s ⚽️ training for him to watch at 5pm. He’s brought a padded winter jacket home from Málaga, one he’d forgotten about and decided will be more useful here than there these days!

Hope we all have a good day. Life is precious and pretty wonderful isn’t it? x

Good morning from a 7 degree W Kent. So sorry to read of all the illness and problems today and wishing all the best to those muddling along. Slight sleep in this morning as I left a warm bed for the freezing back room in the middle of the night due to an unstoppable cough. Must have dozed off waking to find the food delivery was
on its way
Another slow day but getting bits done

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 15-Nov-24 11:02:08

Much sadness and anxiety here this morning - Mizuna Ash Oops and BlueSapphire especially. Thoughts from me are with you all. This friendly drop-in every morning has made ‘virtual’ friends of us ALL and we care about one another. It’s what we do. x

GrandmaC47 Fri 15-Nov-24 11:48:15

So much sadness today. Thinking of you all.
