We have had snowfall for a few hours now off and on sticking here and there. Is it snowing anywhere else or are we just the unlucky ones I say that as I hate snow.

We have snow here in N.Bucks. None was for Casey . It is laying in Fred’s and rooftops but thankfully not in the roads at the moment.

Forgot to say outskirts of Liverpool Merseyside.

Quite a smattering in Staffordshire -no doubt the roads will be chaos for the drive into work for the commuters. Glad that’s all past me now but I do spare a thought for anyone who has to travel in it.

I love snow, but it’s rare here in the South so causes havoc when it happens, I think the last time was March 2018.

Yes, Jaxjacky, I remember it well. The Beast from the East struck as I drove from Torbay to Portsmouth, making a journey that usually took about 4.5 hours last 15 hours! Poor DH in France thought I might succumb to hyperthermia as I bedded down in my car on the A31. Eventually, the Army cleared a track and I reached Travelodge in time for about four hours' sleep before boarding the morning ferry to Ouistreham. Quite an experience! 🥶

We had snow overnight in North Leicestershire but it is thawing now.

Lots of snow overnight here in north Manchester. Friends car stuck on her drive incline yesterday about 8.30pm, roads outside my home clear and I hope it will be mostly gone by this afternoon

Snowy here in Hertfordshire.

lixy Tue 19-Nov-24 08:24:38

A light shower here in Bedfordshire. It settled on the roof, not the ground though.
Keep safe everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 19-Nov-24 08:25:32

It’s snowing here in S E Essex, not settling as the ground is too wet.

LindaPat Tue 19-Nov-24 08:29:18

We’re in West Yorkshire. Started snowing about 7pm last night. Quite heavy, but it’s melting now. Glad I don’t have to go out today!
Take care everyone xx

This is my weather in Oxfordshire this morning.

Us too, in South Oxfordshire. It wasn't meant to come this far south.

I love snow, always have, always will.

Patsy70 Tue 19-Nov-24 08:57:33

Very wet in the South East.

I love snow, always have, always will..

Monica, I wonder if you would feel that way, if you had to walk to work in impossible conditions, because you could not get your car out of the drive and public transport was off. Not easy, when you have RA.
On a number of occasions, on Police advice, we had to leave our cars at school and walk home.

No, you can keep your snow! 😉

I hate snow too. Here in the westcountry at the moment it's raining and not cold.

Witzend Tue 19-Nov-24 09:06:00

None here (yet) outer SW London, but dd has snow in Oxford. The Gdcs are delighted!

FrankandEarnest Tue 19-Nov-24 09:06:13

Fat snowflakes on the Oxfordshire Plain between Oxford and Aylesbury, a big surprise at 7/8 this morning, flakes diminishing now and the sky melting from white to baby blue

safe travels everyone

Athrawes Tue 19-Nov-24 10:17:49

Don’t see much snow around here (I may regret saying that!) and if we did, even less likely to see the gritters out but I loved these road gritter names from North of the Border grin

I absolutely love that here in Scotland, we name our gritters! I love spotting them when we're out and about. I see we've got quite a few new names this year. There's an interactive map which you can go onto and see where each gritter is currently working.

Our magnificent Indian Summer ended yesterday, grey and cold, and today, it is raining- Can't remember when it last rained.

Snow is on the way for tomorrow- but we are very well equipped here, 4X4 with snow tyres, and roads are so well maintained and snow ploughs will be going around as soon as it starts. And lots of wood ready for the big stone clad wood burner. Bring it on.
