Weather we are having snowfall

No snow where I live in Surrey.

Well here I am in a village up on a hill outside Glasgow and not a snowflake to be seen………yet! Zero degrees now though. When it says snow on high ground it usually means us!

Still lots lying in north Wales and had thundersnow in the night

My GC are loving it and DS has a reading week so doesn't have to drive to work in it as he's working from home so Happy days. They are in Yorkshire. Here - just West of London- I heard we had a few flurries but nothing settled. I was blissfully unaware of snow, but very aware it's COLD! Hope it's not the start of a bitter winter!

Plenty of snow here. I am trying to think of a way to remove snow from the solar panels as we have a lovely sunny day but no electricity production. I can’ t throw snowballs high enough.

None in our part of outer west London, though we did have sleet when I took the grandchildren to school yesterday (Tuesday).

Rain in Berkshire; Hint of hail yesterday - frozen not stirred.

It was quite hard to enlarge and sharpen up into focus, but I found if I kept tapping at it, eventually it came tight.

It was quite interesting. I was trying to work out, what ours were called. That is if we ever see one.
Main roads and school routes are done first, it takes days to get to us!

Some of our gritter lorries here have been given names Fleur like Brad Grit, Grit Ashley etc. Usually they’re voted for by the public and reflect the local area.

Yes, my reply was tongue and cheek. A gritter can be the machine, or the man (woman? athough I know none) using it.

And yes, one of our local gritters (man) has a name and is Irish

Well, I was wrong. It snowed most of the day, though only about 1/2” settled before inevitably melting. It didn’t go much higher than +2C but is due to drop overnight. It’ll be slippery underfoot tomorrow morning with the frost and wet 🍂 leaves…

We've had a bit of the white stuff here on the north coast BC. I suppose it will melt during the day, but it makes for slushy parking lots and roads.

We are supposed to get a big wind storm late tonight and tomorrow, but wind is normal here in November, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Our magnificent Indian Summer ended yesterday, grey and cold, and today, it is raining- Can't remember when it last rained.

Snow is on the way for tomorrow- but we are very well equipped here, 4X4 with snow tyres, and roads are so well maintained and snow ploughs will be going around as soon as it starts. And lots of wood ready for the big stone clad wood burner. Bring it on.
