Good morning, Michael12 and everyone else!

It's VERY cold and frosty here in Appleby this morning at 9:49 and OMG it's gorgeous!

From the 25th December to 1st January I've had a brilliant time off work!

I laid in bed until late, not getting up until about 11 some mornings! Knocked my mobile off completely and thankfully I had no missed calls/texts from anyone!

On the 30th I got the Appleby train to Skipton and went to Morrisons Cafe where I had a Full English and TWO strawberry milkshakes!

Then made my way to the Town and straight into Oxfam Book Shop, The Works and WH Smith! I found 3 books - Billy Connolly Windswept and Interesting autobiography, Boudica biography by Vanessa Collingridge and The Bigfoot Book - The Encyclopedia of Sasquatch, Yeti and Cryptid Primates.

I'm back to work tonight from 6pm to 6am!

Good morning all from a sunny but decidedly chilly Angus coast. As I've been reading all the posts I've been watching successive clouds unloading their content of snow over the far hills and also out to sea - long may they do that and not deposit here!
What a sad and worrying start to the New Year on here. Kalu and Bellasnana flowers and I hope you have better news soon. Marydoll glad you are beginning to feel a bit better. And grammaretto - Wow! That was speedy! Take care, but you're much better to be out of hospital and away from all 'hospital acquired infections'. Mizuna, as Ekwanimity said, you do have an interesting family - they obviously take after their mum.
After all the excitement and 'doing' of the past ten days, yesterday I just flopped. I hadn't realised just how tired I was. Old age doesn't come singly, as they say. I so enjoyed DGD1's 21st/Hogmanay in the form of photos, and then photos of the aurora from DGD3 which she took on her way home from work.
Today, after hanging the washing out, I intend to be more active and start reorganising my kitchen. Maybe 😉
Have the best day you can everyone x

Good morning Mick and all from frosty 1°C Sunnyside northwest coast.
Carrying on my quiet life for the moment, started to keep a journal (Mae West “Keep a diary, and one day it will keep you..) Well not in my case Mae, my life is not eventful enough.

Sketched yesterday and settled down in the evening to watch “Christmas in Connecticut” 1945, before realising I had seen it before.

Invited to cousin’s 70th party 20 miles away on Saturday and DS will take me, it will be nice to see extended (large) family.

My plan is a walk in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road today.
Get well soon Grammaretto, welcome K25, thoughts to Kalu Bellas and all🌺
