Almost good afternoon everyone. It's a grey dreich day here in the Angus coast. This is my 'early morning' after another night of no sleep. I just don't know how to cope with this sleeplessness, which if course is nothing compared with what some of you are suffering from.
Anyway, I had such a lovely weekend after the 'storm which didn't touch us'. After consulting all possible local weather forecast between here and the family I took the decision to risk the 80 mile drive - Scott couldn't have prepared more diligently for Antarctica! We had a lovely, totally non-traditional, Burns Supper together followed by silly games and laughter, and then went out for an alfresco breakfast in the snow on Sunday morning. What more could a body ask for! And then a lovely drive home with far less traffic on the roads than usual.
Today is GS Fraser's appointment with his oncologist to arrange for his six months of injections for his Hairy Cell Leukaemia. He knows it's going to be a rather unpleasant time ahead but the prognosis is good and he's so positive and determined - and of course he has L'le Ollie to distract him and cheer him on.
So off I go, four hours late starting my day and a tai chi committee meeting to attend.
Enjoy your afternoon and evening everyone x
