Where are the summer lovers ?

I enjoy early and late dog walking, pleasantly warm - no sun on skin.

I love the sun, and I’m enjoying the beautiful weather. It’s very humid here today though, I’m looking forward to a slightly fresher breeze tomorrow.

I’m with you too, have just on the other thread BlueBelle! We get little enough sunshine here in Yorkshire and while I maybe don’t tolerate it as well as I did in my younger days neither can I bear to shut it out!

I am absolutely loving this gorgeous weather. Admittedly I can’t tolerate sitting in direct sunshine any more due to health problems and the humidity affects my breathing but I hate the winter months and spend every single spare minute enjoying my garden and making the most of the sunshine.

It makes me so happy, I’m wearing shorts and a linen top, it’s so nice to enjoy summer clothes.

I got up at 6 am and worked until 11.00, I then had a lovely shower and have been pottering all afternoon.

We had ice cold lagers at 6 and ate supper in the garden…..bliss.

I adore the sun (responsibly) love the heat, I am a summer baby, summer is my happy place.

I’m with you as well. Enjoy it while we can.

I do like being able to wear nice summer clothes, even if I'm only wearing them at home. Over the last few years I collected some really nice, colourful dresses and I always look forward to being able to wear them again. And I just like being able to go out without a coat.

Love, love, love these hot summer days! Suffer 8 months of winter with Reynaud's - any temperature below 18C is dreadful with blue nails, freezing feet et al. Wonderful to feel warm all over. Bring on the heatwaves!

I do like the Summer although I can't tolerate the heat so much anymore. It's been lovely getting out the summer dresses and sandals, and going out without reaching for a jacket or waterproof.

That doesn't mean I want to live in a furnace though, I need to be cool to sleep. We sat in the garden this morning drinking our coffee and playing scrabble and it was bliss. We've noticed the birds have far more sense than humans - when it's baking hot the feeders are empty and the birds all reappear later in the day. A family of blue tits bathing in the water dish today.

I don't know if it's my imagination but winter seemed to go on for too long. I could not get warm and felt miserable. Now that the sun is here, I feel so much happier. So yes, I'm with you all the way BB...sun, sun, sun...please stay 🌞

I love the hot weather as well. Sitting in the garden shade admiring the flowers and their scents, also watching the bees bob from flower to flower.
Also, not having to wear layers, socks and scarves.

Ohh we have found a family .. hooray

I love the freedom of bright coloured light clothes
I love feeling the sun on my body
I love my garden and allotment
I love the sea and my beautiful beach
I feel alive I m warm and bright

Hooray to all the summer people even if it’s only a week or two

I just adore the hot weather
I retired at the end of March so loving spending so much time in the garden
I keep blinds and curtains closed all day so bedrooms aren't too hot at night
Hope it lasts

I like the sunshine part but the heat is horrible. The barometer on my patio doors showed 39 degrees yesterday afternoon. Far too hot. I pity my children who have to work in this heat.

I love it. Been out for a drink tonight with DH. No coats! Lots of folks in summer clothes. Wonderful.

I love it too - here in the North East we’re a hardy bunch, but the long, cold winters and dark evenings from 3pm are just so depressing!
I haven’t been home long after a dusk walk with Little Dog - we saw the barn owl in flight which was absolutely magical!
