Another photograph yesterday from Meghan to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
It is Harry with his daughter.
After seeing it and others published recently do you other Grans just wish you could get a decent brush and give her hair a really good brush?
Much is made of its glorious colour but oh dear it looks like rats tails to me.

I think that's a very good sum up of the situation Cossy.
But H and M really need to listen to advice if they are to be part of the Royal family again...and I think Harry wants this.
Meghan just wants adoration, fame and money....Harry is just thick, resentful and weak.
She thought she was marrying a Prince based on her experience of Disney films....according to herself, she'd never googled Prince Harry....hmmm

I absolutely agree!

^I suspect if William was slightly more forgiving this family may have reunited by now.^

Well, classic victim blaming.

Harry betrayed his family yet William gets the blame!
Astonishing.

I wasn’t victim blaming, I think the interview with Oprah was appalling as were other media fiascos from H&M.

William certainly isn’t a victim, in the context of the family, royal or not, he is the older brother and, in my opinion, for the sake of his father, he could choose a different stance. Let’s face it, William will have more than one opportunity when HE is King to exact his revenge.

Cossy I expect William felt Harry's betrayal very deeply. I'd have no respect for a brother who disclosed my very private medical past in a book supposedly about him. It was gratuitous, hurtful and done for titillation.
None of us actually know William's thoughts and influence on this situation.

I have always thougth Lilibet an absolutely hideous name - the kind of family nickname that arise either because the child herself, or a younger sister or brother cannot say her name when learning to speak. I admit I thought Princess Margaret said it when learning to speak. Prince Phillip apparently called the Queen "cabbage"!!

I had a family nickname too, and it made me cringe when I was nine and my mother used it in front of one of my school-friends.

Blossoming Sun 15-Feb-26 14:23:48

I avoid any mentions of them in the media, as per their oft expressed desire.

MT62 Sun 15-Feb-26 14:53:44

Yes you are correct Allira, it was her parents

Perhaps short hair would look nicer. Glorious colour.

Valentine's Day ❤︎ photo is quite nice.

I think in fact it was her grandfather who coined it from her way of trying to say Elizabeth 🙂

Archies hair is short and easy to maintain. hmm

Allira, mine is in braids for sleeping or else I would look a fright when I woke up. That would be hard to get a brush through. smile

Since reading this thread I have tamed mine.
Just in case I get any callers or a photographer wants to take my photo for the national newspapers.

Casdon Sun 15-Feb-26 15:04:59

I think she has probably inherited her mum’s hair type, which is naturally curly and thick. I like her hair, it’s really pretty as it is.

Allira Sun 15-Feb-26 15:06:27

Gorgeous colour too.

PaperMonster2 Sun 15-Feb-26 15:09:41

What a lovely photo and there’s nothing at all wrong with her hair! Honestly, I despair of some people.

Jaberwok Sun 15-Feb-26 15:27:57

The late Queen herself called herself Lilibet as, like a lot of us called Elizabeth, she was unable to pronounce it properly when very small. My name was shortened to Lizzie by my mother and grandparents, and I still, apparently, shortened it further to Lily! Those z's were originally impossible, fortunately not permanently so!

Sadly for many posters, it’s nothing to do objectively with her hair but with who her parents are. Especially her mother. Meanwhile AMW and the rest of his motley crew are perfection personified.

Calendargirl Sun 15-Feb-26 15:35:27

Graceless

I see using that name was a compliment to the late Queen.

Well, it wasn’t.

I seem to recall that when they announced the name, they said it was ‘Lilibet’, to be known as ‘Lili’.

Why bother with Lilibet then?

If they wanted to do away with their royal family connections, why use a unique nickname of the now late Queen?

And I too wonder why Valentine’s Day needed a father/daughter picture, why not H&M?

Coincidence that William and Catherine had their own photo published yesterday perhaps?

And yes, the child’s hair always looks a mess, but I’m not sure we ever see the actual Lilibet/Lili.

Lovely father and daughter picture for Valentine’s Day it’s about love not just sexual love, that s just a bit of a money making modern stuff
Who the heck makes you all the ‘hair brush’ police can’t you just see a little girl with her loving Dad
Oh yes I forgot its Meghan the ‘most criticised’ of course let’s find something to have a go at her for
If it was a picture of William and daughter you d all be saying how wonderful

Exactly

Why would they want to compliment the late Queen ? Megan said her life in the UK was such hell for her, passport taken off her, racism because of her skin colour, dark thoughts of suicide but refused medical attention, and we mustn’t forget the rules of tights/ pantyhose she had to abide by , how she suffered! ! !

I rest my case 😂

Imagine, grannies who so dislike your mum that they post negative comments about your hair.

The vitriol directed at H and M is a continuing surprise to many of us. Especially given Mountbatten, Andrew M Windsor and his former wife. They’ve excelled at bringing the family into disrepute.

Allira Sun 15-Feb-26 15:56:12

Quite the reverse, Bluebelle

St Valentine's day is about romantic love. It is nothing to do with other types of love - that's just a bit of a money making modern stuff!

Probably encouraged by Hallmark and other such firms to sell all kinds of cards and tat. Valentine has been commercialised.

Now, Father's Day might be an appropriate time to publish a photo of Daddy and his little daughter, and son too.

However, if you want to get away from publicity, why publish anything?

MartavTaurus Sun 15-Feb-26 16:12:19

Precisely. And as Meghan herself has been trolled and subjected to dreadful comments, why would she constantly want to put her daughter out there?

These threads make me laugh!
There's a poster on this thread, who a couple of years ago was praising Andy Murray on GN for keeping his kids away from social media, saying that celebrities who do search publicity through their children should expect all sorts of opinions. Yet this same poster can't see that this is exactly what happens with Meghan's frequent Instagram posts!

How was her name a complinent to the Queen, their actions spoke more about how they viewed her and the rest if the family. She should not be a princess,.
