Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow.
Firstly, I want to thank those, who have 'checked' on me.
I am finding life rather overwhelming at the moment, both health and family wise.
I am failing miserably, to be all things to all people.
DIL is very low, the District Nurse is still coming in daily. to dress her large wound.
Keeping an eye on her, frequent pharmacy trips, (for heavy bags of protein drinks, dressings, painkillers etc) school runs, hospital visits and looking after Babydoll ( she was unwell yesterday and exhausting) are taking its toll.
DS leaves early in the morning, so we are the main support network.
DH has been great, my failing health means he has been doing most of the early school runs.
There seems to be no respite from the constant pain and chronic fatigue, despite biologics and a maximum dose of painkillers.. RA is indeed a cruel disease.
Chronic pain changes you and makes you become a grumpy and not very pleasant old woman, who tends to speak her mind! One of the reasons, I have not been posting.😉
I saw a thread on GN, where a poster asked how you respond to a clinician, when asked what level your pain is on a scale of 1to 10.
Mine never drops below 8 and at the moment is at least 10!
DIL has just messaged. she has been out once to the shops since her op, but badly needs loose fitting clothes.
She has just managed to get a hold of the District nurse, who will now come after lunch.
Consequently, we are off to Silverburn to dress her. There are lots of seating areas, where she and) can rest.
It's quite ironic, really. Children are supposed to be looking after their parents, not vice versa.😉
My best wishes to you all. Sorry about your car, Ash and I hope those, who have family, who are ill, are making progress.
The sun is shining through the window, how it lifts one's spirits. MDx
