Where's CariadAgain? 🤔

I was wondering the same last week. I think the last time she posted was in March. I've always found her posts interesting. I too hope she's ok.

Yes, most of her posts are long and detailed, like listening to a conversation! It made me wonder if she was ill 😟, we wouldn't know 🤷. I hope all is well with her 🙂.

"Unable to receive pms" which means she has deleted her account or been banned.

I suspect the latter as some posters took offence at some of her posts.

I have been wondering the same, she speaks from the heart, and is often refreshingly to the point. I hope she is well.

I remember her vaguely mentioning in a January post about health issues without expanding. I hope she's not dealing with awkward neighbour issues again. This is what I dislike about forums - you, probably daftly (is that even a word?) mentally form an idea/ picture of some people, get a little idea of their personality, lives etc. I don't mean in a nosey sense, more that it's putting flesh on the bones of anonymous people (as we all are on here). I'm maybe not exposing it well I hope you get what I mean.

But, coupled with the fact that she is not posting, that doesn't seem likely.

CariadAgain originally came from my current part of the world. She messaged me a few questions about the area as it is now, and we swapped pms.
I hope she is OK, and is able to return to GN soon.

From the tone of the last thread I remember her contributing to, I think she may have been suspended or banned.

It makes you think of kids being put into detention this banning thing. I hope Cariad is ok,too.

I'm sometimes puzzled by what is and what isn't banned because it doesn't seem quite consistent. I can only assume some decisions are taken because of comments being reported by numbers of people - but don't know if that is the case.

Unless a poster is breaking the law, I'm sort of in the camp that would rather the posts remain, even those that might ruffle my delicate feathers .

So if there's no way of contacting CariadAgain - there's no way of knowing if she's OK, which is a shame.

It really is a shame if she has been banned. I thought a post would have to be highly offensive for that to happen, not just having a different opinion to others.

I hope she can see that she's missed, maybe you can read posts without being a member, I don't know.

I was insulted a few times on Mumsnet, called smug for having a happy family life and a martyr for having health problems (they called me disabled) and not claiming PIP.

I never reported anyone, I didn't feel the need, I simply left Mumsnet for Gransnet and it's a much friendlier place, even if we don't agree, it's nice to get other people's points of view, but not to get nasty about it.

Yes, I liked reading Cariad's posts. They were very individual and sometimes quirky and expressive.

I sometimes found Cariad’s self-importance and conspiracy theories a bit ridiculous but never offensive. I hope she’s able to return, if & when she wants.

I think I would have thought about moving if she was my neighbour.

I would never report anyone, I believe in fighting my own battles but I wasn’t a fan of Carriad so I hadn’t actually noticed she wasn’t on. If she has been banned she will have plenty to say when she’s back
( I do report the advertising trolls as I m often up in the night when they are at their worst )

I won't report anyone. I think it's cowardly. It's a shame if Cariad has been banned. She was never offensive on any of her posts that I've seen.

An rather outspoken poster who had returned under a different name left Gransnet again recently, announcing she was doing what used to be known as 'flouncing off.'
It is disconcerting when prolific posters disappear without any apparent reason, and I do think GN should announce if someone is banned. Stops speculation.
If a poster dies there is no way of finding out unless family or friends send notification. Sad.
