Seems it’s now Harry’s uncle - the Earl of Spencer - having his turn at a “tell all” book.

Honestly why? What is the attraction this family have in airing their dirty laundry? It can’t be for money, he’s wealthy. He must think it’ll be cathartic like his nephew imagined it would be if he told us all “his truth”. More mud slinging. Talk about making a bad situation worse.

I don’t think that H and M will stick around for long, they’ll try and cause trouble for the RF and then be off somewhere else to live for a while.

Will be interesting to find out if the comments made by Diana, about her brother, criticising his cruelty to his then wife, will have made it into this biography.

I wouldn't be surprised if they leave by the end of the year Oreo.

I didn’t want the interview on but my partner was channel hopping and kept it on but without the sound. I don’t like to see women interviewers showing cleavage, even a small amount, especially when they’re sitting opposite the man they’re interviewing. I know people will say a woman has the right to wear whatever she likes but I don’t think it’s professional. I think she’s done it before and it’s annoyed me. I realise it’s just a personal bugbear so apologise in advance.

Did I read somewhere they have a place in Portugal? If so, then they might be near enough to Princess Eugenie and her family as they live there.

What a strange post. I really don’t understand it.

Whatever happened 29 years ago perhaps he is trying to absolve himself of any blame for pushing her into the cattle pen to be auctioned off.

But whatever happened, he is about making money as the expense of his nephews' well-being, and indeed their relationship with their father

Probably Monaco, where tax exiles and the Eurotrash minor royals, ousted from the dwindling royal families of Europe, reside.

I don't think MayBee's post was on the wrong thread. Neither do I think she is ill or confused. I understood her to be commenting on the less than professional look Laura Kuenssburg displays. The same look on her sunday morning programme.
I think Emily Maitlis or Victoria Derbyshire interviewing CS would have been more incisive and they both would have looked the business. I know we can all wear what we want quite rightly and adopt any look we want, but a prime time interview of someone currently very much in the news by the amount of coverage he is getting a sharper professional look would have cut the mustard. And I would make the same comment had it been a man.

Calendargirl Mon 21-Sept-26 07:15:55

I must admit I never noticed what Laura was wearing!

My eyes were on the Earl, watching his eyes and gestures.

I watched a couple of news clips of the interview. I’m afraid I noticed the outfit, which I saw as an attempt to draw attention to LK, I also noticed heavy makeup and wondered if she was trying to disguise how tired she looked. It’s unusual for me to criticise in this way but I found myself wondering why LK is so popular. Yes, Emily Maitlis or Victoria Derbyshire would have conducted the interview in a professional way.

The BBC has made much too much of this and have gone down in my estimation.
Irrespective of who is truthful and who is the liar, it is a pathetic low blow to the Windsor family, to which his sister provided the next King, to muck-rake in this fashion merely to sell a book and aid H&M (notice he thinks they should have full security which would be unnecessary if the Spencer clan shut up).
They should all be exiled imo.

Thank you. My partner has always said if a woman is showing cleavage a man doesn’t know where to look, even more so if you’re sitting directly opposite them. I did Google it though and read that if a woman has to provide a photo for a job interview they are 60% more likely to get an interview if they show some cleavage. I hope it’s wrong though and if it isn’t that too is wrong. I was going to mention Emily Maitlis and Victoria Derbyshire as it got me thinking about female interviewers that I do admire. I have to admit that having my state of mind questioned upset me greatly last night sad.

JenniRen Mon 21-Sept-26 10:54:17

As in didn't watch the interview, MayBee70, I looked at some clips and it seemed as if she had her top turned down and the microphone clipped to it.

No, it doesn't look very appropriate, she wasn't going out for the evening, she was supposed to be doing a professional job.

Maremia Mon 21-Sept-26 11:02:00

MayBee70,

Honestly? It seems to me that men need to have more self control. If you don't want to look at their cleavage, look at their face which is more appropriate no matter what they are wearing.

I think we can critique Laura Kuenssburg on her style of interviewing, her constant interrupting her guests, her political bias or other such matters but her sense of dress? She was hardly displaying all.

Well I suppose Charlie would recognise a liar…..being one himself.
Lies and adultery go hand in hand.
Poor old Chuckles must have thought this had all gone away and he had managed to fool most of the people who still say( on here) Hes a good and honourable man…lol
He is in my opinion neither good nor honourable ,Hes a greedy entitled old fool whose children are exactly like him.All take and as,ong as they make pronouncements about things they say they,ll do ,their adoring public believe them!

Are you talking about Charlie Brown from Peanuts Paddyann54, there is nobody from the Royal family or the Spencer family with the names you have used. Perhaps you’re on the wrong thread.

Not sure what or who to believe - but I’ll buy the book just out of curiosity.

If a man only has the capability of looking at a women’s breasts as opposed to her face, it is his problem not the women’s.

a bit like Nicola Sturgeon and Peter Murrell I suppose? Yes lots of people are blind to what they don't want to see, others see what they want even when it makes them very bitter.
