Good Morning Everyone,
Its light, dry and a clear sky in for another hot day here in Brackley .
My plans I will get a earlier bus to shop and maybe say hello to those I know
I will watch cycling on TV as well and try to stay cool in my flat with maybe closing the blinds when I get the sun direct through my window .
Health OK despite heat.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a clear Bristol where it is an unseasonal 19C. We’re promised 34C again. It’s too hot for me and I’ve become a troglodyte, sitting in the dark, curtains closed, sunny side windows closed…. I hate it.
For all that, I was very busy yesterday. I washed, dried and put away two loads of clothes (including two woolly jumpers!). I washed my floors. I decided I wanted to get more tomato plants to fill my pots, so I trotted off to the village garden shop. All that before 10am when my neighbour was ready to go to Tesco.
It felt like a pre Christmas shop, people were milling around, children were generally ok but a couple of adorable little scams were running around. I had a very full trolley because I hadn’t been able to get that much on foot recently. I did however get myself some peonies, which must be some of my favourite flowers.
The tea in the afternoon went ok - one lady who had never been round came, plus another 3. They must have enjoyed themselves as they stayed for nearly two hours, we did stay indoors as it was too hot to be outdoors.
We have horrible outdoor furniture, no shading trees and a useless umbrella, so my flat it was.
Today is empty. I’ll potter, sew, sit…
I hope you are enjoying the good weather🍦, and having a pleasant holiday week. 🐦‍🔥 Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and cloudy. Definitely close your blinds Mick
Yesterday I did half an hour in the school library then headed home where I hung out a washing. I didnt do much else but read and rest. My feet were complaining yesterday about the heat.
Ive had a disturbed night but today is an early childcare day instead of yesterday. Dgs2 is doing a sponsored walk to the local park and I thought about joining them but I don't feel great so I probably wont. I have to be careful in extremes of temperature as my metabolism doesn't settle. Moan! Moan! I will collect the boys from school/nursery later and bring them to my house. Im planning on making milkshakes for them as a treat. Then itll be drawing , football and mud pies in the garden until I take them home again. Chicken salad for dinner. Have a good day all.

It was good to hear from Marydoll yesterday. I really hope she and her dh can get some relief from their health worries

Good morning from S E Essex it’s already 17° and predicted to reach 31°

I have promised DD’s boys a day at one of our local beaches, now trying to decide which one will have less tourists…

Thinking of all our morning friends with troubles and illnesses (((hugs))) 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from Sheffield.
I had a full day of washing clothes yesterday ,at least that’s all out of the way . There’s just a pile of ironing to do. I can’t face that in this heat , it’ll wait.
We had a visit from our son and family yesterday morning which was very nice. I’m looking after the gorgeous Cockerpoo for a couple of days as they go away to visit theme parks this week ,then we had a visit from our daughter and family later on which was also very nice .
Back to work today but that’s okay, I like it .
Thinking of those who are particularly struggling at the moment Marydoll, Madeleine ,Roses
Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from a cooler Black Country (for now). Was up at 5 to sit in the garden where the coolness was such a relief.

Didn't really do much yesterday. My friend popped round for an hour for coffee and chat and to bring books for me to read. Finished one book and started another. Too hot to even cut the lawn!

MrJ went to the gym as there was air conditioning there.

BBQ last night, and sat out until 10pm.

Not much planned for today, see how things pan out.

Thinking of Marydoll and her DH

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning from very hot and dry s somerset

Another day for gliding around in a cool kaftan but first I will go and put my umbrella shade up, to keep my kitchen/dining cool. I don`t have to be anywhere nor dance to anyone's tune today so I can just float around, drinking water, reading my book and keeping cool, which is far more important than any exercise today

My sewing room was a refuge yesterday and I made that top in 2 sessions, finished by 2.30. It is very comfy to wear and is made from a remnant of Lady McElroy cotton poplin. I might well sew something else today, I have several items already cut-out and in boxes ready to go and I did enjoy the two 1 hour sessions yesterday

I think I might also continue gently going through my wardrobe, so far I have three summer toiles that I like very much, hanging in my sewing room, ready to repeat in much better fabric. Yesterday I wore Itch to Stitch Vikos dress, made in a cheap cotton fabric, it was so flattering and comfortable, I am going to make another. It is a toile, now hanging in my sewing room

All AC are in fine fettle, DS is back home in Aberdeen from a festival in Ayrshire , one DD completely recovered and happy after her 32 mile cross country group run and other DD successfully completed her triathlon yesterday, gaining two podium places from a field of 350 people

Nothing wrong with sloth-like behavior at my age, while the weather is so very hot, 33 degrees yesterday
