A Prayer for Christmas (from my dog)

May...

May the turkey be well cooked
may the counter be low
may stuffing be overlooked
and the cook be too slow
may the butter in rivers
run into the mash
may the gravy be bounteous
and pour with a splash

May the bacon and sausages
fall onto the floor
may the cream for the pudding
all spill as you pour
may the beans turn out soggy
and land in our bowl
may you never discover
where went the ham roll.

Not original, but I liked it and hope all dog owners do!

Years ago now, but we once had friends with 3 dogs (2 x Flatcoat retrievers and a Westie) staying, so 4 in the house including our dog.

On about the 28th Dec I was busy in the kitchen, stripping the turkey, when I turned around to see all 4 of them sitting in a row, looking the picture of good manners and hope! 😂

Oh, to have had a camera handy….

(They’d all had some turkey with their dinners on 🎄Day.)
