Cinderella - I always wanted to find my prince!

The Little Mermaid. I have always been fascinated by the ocean so her story stood out. I admire Ariel's ability to recognize what she wants, and her courage to change her circumstances, no matter how daunting the consequences.

The Ugly Duckling. Although Goldilocks was a close 2nd

Sleeping Beauty, I also loved Cinderella.

Cinderella, what little girl could resist the story which starts off horrible and then ends with everybody happy (apart from the 2 ugly sisters). On another matter, my Dad used to say he would take me to the pictures to see The Wizard of Oz, he was fascinated that the black and white film changed into colour part way through, must be something in the genes as my granddaughter also loves the film.

Does The Secret Garden count? I grew up in an old farm cottage with a large garden and used to go on adventures to try and find my very own secret garden.

I loved The Ugly Duckling because it had such a happy ending. I used to go to the local park with mum and dad to visit the ducks very often and they were my favourites. Still love this story even today.

The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen - the saddest tale ever.

Thumbelina - it's the one that really used to spark my imagination as a child. The image of Thumbelina sleeping in a walnut-shell really stuck in my mind for some reason.
