Pinocchio, I was always fearful that if I was to exaggerate the truth my nose would grow. I still think that honesty is the best policy.

For me it was Cinderalla - every young girls dream of the handsome prince and happy endings.

Cinderella. I spent hours trying to turn vegetables and pets into a carriage with horses like the fairy godmother!

Wazza Fri 04-Oct-19 00:16:04

Little Red Riding Hood. I loved listening to my mum making the wolf sounds and blowing the house down.

karenteulon Fri 04-Oct-19 00:21:52

I loved Cinderella as I liked the way good triumped over evil, that the kind girl won and that you could get a carriage from a pumpkin!

The Sleeping beauty. She got to live in a castle, was kissed by a handsome prince who cut his way through thorns and nettles that had grown a mile high in order to find her and they both lived happily ever after. When I was about 4 or 5 I used to ask my Mum why we did not live in a castle, I thought we should because my Dad used to call me princess. I only realised I was not a princess when I started school. blush I got married in a castle though and had a very long train, so when I walked up steps at the reception it trailed along behind me, just like when I was little and dressed up with a curtain around my waist, as a princess.

Cinderella, loved to be wanted by a prince with beautiful dresses

glammanana Fri 04-Oct-19 12:20:19

Always been Cinderella we used to dress up and play the story out in our kitchen in the winter while waiting to go to the Panto to hopefully see it done by the actors.
I always dressed my twin brother up as one of the ugly sisters he has never let me forget that at the time I thought he fitted the part very well.

cryssy Fri 04-Oct-19 19:34:59

Cinderella, love the rags to riches story. She was poor but beautiful inside and out and ended up marrying a prince and her horrible ugly sisters could do nothing about it!

Fluffybunnywunny Fri 04-Oct-19 20:44:49

Rumplstiltskin was my favourite story growing up. The thought of that funny little man dancing by the fire in the woods always stuck in my mind!
