I was told i had very low vit D last summer which I don't quite understand as i eat a varied diet and last summer spent 6 weeks on the beach most days. Tested low again in Dec so started taking supplement, now told still too low in beginning of March so now taking higher dose. I do get lower back pain and know from mri scan my spine is wearing. I have read if you are low in vit D it causes weight gain and if sevete can cause secondary hypothyoidism symptoms.
