Sorry, I must be a terrible person but this news started my day with a smile. ???

Alegrias Fri 02-Oct-20 16:22:02

Apparently Pence has just tested negative.

biba70 Fri 02-Oct-20 16:22:49

You don't actually believe it, do you?

Alegrias Fri 02-Oct-20 16:23:35

What biba70, that he's negative?

Whitewavemark2 Fri 02-Oct-20 16:24:35

Alegrias

Apparently Pence has just tested negative.

Anyone in contact with someone with covid for more than 15 mins should be in a 14 day quarantine. It doesn’t matter whether they are negative. It means nothing.

Alegrias Fri 02-Oct-20 16:25:44

It just means that he has just tested negative....

Are the rules about quarantine the same in the US as they are here?

Fake news. He just wants to be able to 'recover' in record time so he can say there's nothing to it and its just like mild flu and make himself look big and strong.

It would be awful if he really has it and gets really ill. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but I'm afraid my first reaction was that of glee. I just want him to suffer a little bit. Just a little bit. So he can get an idea of what some others are going through and have suffered.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 02-Oct-20 16:59:20

Oh dear

BlueBelle Fri 02-Oct-20 17:09:43

I doubt if POTUS is a hands on Father especially 31 days away from the Presidential election. Probably doesn’t see that much of Baron.

Joe Biden has tested negative.

Barmeyoldbat Fri 02-Oct-20 17:40:13

Good post Willow10, exactly how I feel.

suziewoozie Fri 02-Oct-20 17:47:08

Good news about Biden.

Kate1949 Fri 02-Oct-20 22:31:14

Trump has been hospitalised apparently.

Best tweet of the day, via my adult American niece:

‘Looks like RBJ (the female Supreme Court judge who died recently) successfully argued her first case with God.’ ?

suziewoozie Fri 02-Oct-20 22:39:08

The statement is exactly the same as we got re Johnson. Taken to hospital as a precaution, working normally etc etc etc. Who knows? He’ll either get better or he won’t. He’ll have top class care unlike thousands of other CoVID patients many of whom caught the disease because of his failure to act properly

Just concerned about his youngest son. Mum and dad both unwell (though she’s fit and healthy so should be fine), not good. He can’t help who his parents are.
Dad’s an arsehole but I hope he pulls through.
Hopefully with a road to Damascus moment.

He should never have disregarded her dying wish.....it was beyond evil.

Not a judgement call, simply a fact .. In an act of defiance Trump's family and guests at the debate removed their masks after being seated-

There have been numerous incidents shown where Trump’s risk assessment of the virus was way off the mark and unfortunately the culture that he insisted on put others in harms way as well, particularly in the WH and other indoor events.

His judgement is highly questionable.

Franbern Sat 03-Oct-20 10:44:48

Witzend, thanks for that - really made me laugh out loud.

suziewoozie Sat 03-Oct-20 10:45:09

WW

‘His judgement is highly questionable‘

That’s a bit mild??? I’d change the adjective to any or all of the following completely, always , unfailingly, unremittingly etc

"" He took one for the team "" seems to be how its playing out currently ..

That hasn’t played well. The team all seem to be taking a hit now.
