From what I’ve read thus far he seems to be taking every treatment known. Surely you shouldn’t have every single treatment at the same time. Plasma, steroids, dexamethasone, oxygen etc etc.

I find the religious right in America truly terrifying. It reminds me of the extremes in any faith or political belief system. Bigoted and dangerous. Photographs of them praying outside the Whitehouse added to my increasing belief that the US is going the way of failed states, or states run by despots.

I saw a photo of three female Trump fans holding some sort of vigil amongst the crowd outside the hospital.

One wore her mask over her mouth but under her nose. Another wore her mask under her chin and the third did not appear to have a mask. They seem to be just as stupid as he is.

Two things keep going through my head in an ear wormy sort of way at the moment. One is the fall of Rome and the other is ‘there’s something rotten in the state of Denmark’.

I still question whether he actually has Covid, I think it’s a PR stunt, but if he does have it then this is reckless and you have to ask whether these are the actions of a sane person .

I wonder if his driver (and anyone else in the car) had the option of refusing. There is a rumour that it was not him but one of his 'lookalike' stand-ins, which, from what I understand, he has many.

IF Donald Trump has Covid he will use this to his advantage. He will try and get the sympathy vote and he will consider himself strong as he has overcome it and only a strong man can be President. I dread to think how many people he has infected with his arrogant attitude and the blatant stupidity the man displays is beyond belief.

I can not recommend highly enough Simon Marks Washington correspondent for his take on all things Trumpian. On national radio he is explicit that the WH and the doctors are lying and have lied.

When I compare Trump to others who have gone down in history as evil, I'm not sure if he is or not. But he's definitely a deranged, dangerous, deluded megalomaniac and a proven pathological liar. When I saw the photos of his drive by, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Arrogant towards the medics who advised him not to, and uncaring towards the driver of the limo who had to breathe the same contaminated air as him.

Trump is certainly one of the most stupid people I’ve ever heard about. He’s not fit to be President in my opinion. I could hardly believe my eyes last night when the news programme showed him in the car.

Generally speaking, evil leaders ramp up as time goes by. There are many ways to cause the death of your people - famine is one and dealing with a pandemic as he has including deliberately spreading the virus is another. Evil leaders don’t just order mass executions or drop bombs.

Well excuse me but I’ll believe the exceptionally brave doctor who has spoken out about the insanity of doing this.

I don't know who to believe any more, but even the drivers of London taxis are totally screened off, as are drivers of school minibuses and other vehicles.

But what about the security men? It’s easy to know who not to believe isn’t it?

I don't think the world could sustain another 4 years of him Suziewoozie. I can't bear to think of what further harm he could do in that time. Surely sense will prevail at the next election?

Ellianne, I take your point about the passenger area of his car being sealed off from the driver but I based my observation on this quote:

Wow. Such vitriol! I’m an American and I would never say such things about the leader of your country. You are free to say what you like, to be sure, but this is how you treat those who think differently? I guess I’ll just chalk it up to the typical liberal left.
