Has anyone who has had the second Astra Zeneca vaccine found the side effects were not as bad the second time around?

Luckily, I had no reactions with either of my AZ jags. I do hope that those who chose not to go for the second one cancel their appointments well in advance. I am waiting to see what happens if or when proof of vaccination is ever needed. It is looking like annual boosters will be necessary.

I had the Pfizer jab, no side effects first time and only a mildly sore arm for 36 hours for the second one - and I think that was probably down to the rather ham-fisted lady who "did" me!

DH had the AZ and had no side effects for either.

Irrespective of the after effects I was determined to have my second jab. A little worse than the first but totally compensated by the huge relief I felt. No, I don't feel totally safe but I certainly feel MUCH safer and that's giving me inner joy. Priceless.

The only effect of my first AZ jab was tenderness in my upper arm. As I’d read about it on GN, I took paracetamol just before my follow-up jab on Tuesday. My arm was okay but I slept for most of Wednesday.
DH has also had AZ. He had a tender arm on both occasions.
Others have had more side effects but I can only relate our experiences and hope they give some reassurance.
The vaccinations make us feel we’re a step closer to freedom and normality, that we’re less vulnerable now.

I had my first vaccine under medical supervision at a hub as I have a history of anaphylaxis to many foods and drugs. I was completely overwhelmed by the personal attention I received in the middle of hundreds of people being vaccinated. Thankfully I was ok and just had the expected side effects over next 48 hours.
I was so reassured by a doctor keeping an eye on me and am due to have my 2nd in a couple of weeks time.

Had my second AZ last Thursday. The effects of it are no where as bad as the first one. With the first one I had a sore arm for about 3 days, with the second one I had no side effects at all

I'm a bit aprehensive about getting my 2nd dose of AZ as I had a swollen lymph node on my collar bone which lasted about 6 weeks. Also on the day I had mine, I felt very tired and fluey but was fine the next day.
