What an ignorant man he is!

Very childish behaviour, too, along the lines of "They did it too, Miss, it wasn't just me!"
I can only assume that his parents, his nanny and his teachers never taught him that just because someone else does (or doesn't do) something, it in no way excuses his own behaviour.

His own Health Minister, from his Government- said masks should be used- the same day. Rees-Mogg was NOT speaking in private, he was speaking in the House, officially representing the Governement in the House - and saying out health Minister's advice, from his own Government, could be discarded.

You can say anything you want on GN, and we will quite happily ignore you. But Rees-Mogg was in the House, representing the Government- surely you can see the difference!

I voted for JRM as a good constituency MP but this is plain daft and irresponsible. In his constituency cases have rocketed and are now amongst the highest in the country - almost trebled. People are far too complacent and he should be setting an example not taking a poke at the opposition on this serious issue. I will send him an email in the morning asking what he thinks he is playing at. It is no laughing matter.

Telling someone who has a family member who seems to be having real MH difficulties that "its not worth getting in a froth about" really does plumb new depths.

We take personal responsibility for our protection irrespective of Rees Mogg and others who choose differently. There are those, who are CV and ECV socialising more, not isolating, that’s their choice too.

Yes, and it will make little difference to the really dangerous forecast situation in the UK, with cases rising exponentially- and the probably soon flu + Covid combo.

Rees-Mogg speaks in the House of Commons, representing the Government. The scientific advisors are currently saying that Plan B has to be put into action urgently- and Johnson refuses because of opposition from his own Ministers. It is very serious indeed- and The House, the Government, our PM and his Representatives should be leading by example.

Otherwise as the Title says, it is 'criminally negligent'. Other countries in Europe still have strict mask enforcement in public places and strict implementation of Covid passes in restaurants, theatres, cinemas, sports venues, etc. They might have been a bit slower on the uptake re vaccinations- but now have much lower numbers- and are still being very cautious and responsible. It works!

Should we have to report it when someone is minimising the feelings of a poster who is talking about their vulnerable partner and their difficult position with accessing healthcare?

Should people just, through common decency and kindness, not be hurtful in that situation?

He actually said the same thing a few weeks ago. It seems the escalating infection rate hasn’t made him change his mind.

HM The Queen has been maskless for quite some time now. Wearing them in certain situations is not mandatory (but might be again soon, who knows?).

The queen is hardly representative of the general population.
I can't imagine her being put at risk.
