Well , here I am about to do a COVID test 🥲
After attending not one but two outside Music Concert events in the same week 4/07 & 7/07 , I started feeling unwell on the way home on the night of the 7th .
Really dry throat .
By Monday morning I felt really poorly my throat was on fire , coughing & slept for two days . No headache or joint pains .
I stayed home & by Thursday 11/07 I was feeling 90%better which for me was a good thing as we were travelling to London by train ( tickets pre purchased) to another event .
All was good , spent the afternoon watching the Woman’s Doubles at the Everyman Theatre at Kings Cross so lots of fresh air .
Fast forward to yesterday & after being away at the coast with my family & friends hiring a beach hut & being at the beach everyday from Saturday 13th until yesterday , here we go again ! , I am feeling much the same as I did on 7/07 !!
Yet again , I have had to cancel meeting friends etc . This is the self same thing as I had last year around November not once but twice within a short period of time , then it was a viral infection. I seem to of become prone to them of late or is it since I’ve reached 70 ?
I despair 😩

My younger son and his partner have had it since Thursday, and I visited them on Wednesday so am waiting to see if I have caught it....no symptoms so far.
I had a booster jab in April and will accept all further jabs offered.
Son and partner both feel terrible. It's still a nasty illness.

The real question is why is there no cure for covid-19? because the vaccine can only do 50% of the job.As far as I know I am the only person to ask this question and if I am not then that is a small relief but only small!!!The other question is why do people think the a mask can filter out a virus that is exactly 1.2 microns in size i looked at the box for the advanced mask for doctors and nurses and it said it can only filter out 3.0 microns and no smaller!!!I am not trying to scare any one jest to point out what has been missed Christian set as far as I can tell no one has asked

There are many things that there isn't a cure for. The common cold is one of them. The main problem is the number of different strains of the cold that are circulating - at least 150 varieties. www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-havent-we-cured-the-common-cold-yet/

Covid is similarly varied. New strains appear frequently. It is not just finding a cure for one disease - it is trying to design a master key to open hundreds of different locks at once.

The link above describes the search for a cure for the common cold. The search for a Covid cure is similar, plus it has only been around for about 4 years. The researchers don't have a magic wand that will produce an instant answer.

Last time I had it I was given anti virals and it disappeared within 48 hours. They do have side effects, though - nasty stomach ache being the worst for me.

I felt ill 3 weeks ago , tested positive for Covid,- first time ever !!
Two days in bed , absolutely exhausted, sore throat and felt sick.
Goodness knows how much worse it might have been had I not been vaccinated. So yes I think it is on the rise. DH tested negative !? and had one day feeling under the weather but not as ill as me
We kept very low profile, all ok now thank goodness.
