I have just received an invitation book a covid booster. I've had each one offered since the start of the vaccination programme and I'm wondering whether to bother this time. Yes I'm elderly, but have no other particular risk factors. What are other people planning to do?

Go for it. We've kept up with all the vaccine boosters without any problems. We had Covid once after the pandemic and the vaccine certainly kept it down to common cold level. What's not to like?

I'm always first in the queue for these - I have quite enough health problems without adding anything more.

Already booked. If it’s offered I’ll take it. We held back on the shingles vaccine until we had been away, but we had the RSV jab.

I haven't heard from my GP yet, but I'l book an appointment when I do. I'm grateful for the opportunity.

Waiting for my invitation - I'll be on the doorstep with my sleeve rolled up.
Providing that you haven't had any ill effects from previous vaccinations, it seems mad not to protect yourself as much as possible..!

I had chronic burping 1hr after AZ jab, put on diazepam, still on it, & still have chronic burping for hrs on end. The hospital can’t find anything wrong with my stomach. My friends husband has the same condition after the AZ jab.
I have “stabbing with a needle” type pain in my back, burning stabbing pain all through my left leg. (still have all these symptoms yrs later on & off. My Gp said never to have another AZ jab.. I think it was withdrawn not long after.

I've had covid 3 times the first time I was seriously ill, second time very mild, 3td time unwell but not hospitalised.
I've had 10 doses so far and will take every one. I never want to feel like I did in 2021.
I am going to try and get moderna this time.

I can't believe some of you have had eight jabs, still get COVID and think that's ok! Glad I've never had one

Had an email from the surgery but when I tried to book a slot was told they were all gone. Have not been able to find out whether there will be more offered. I believe in taking everything that’s offered but am obviously not quick enough on the uptake!

In Scotland NHS Inform mainly deliver the vaccinations at hubs. Surgeries here don't make anything from Covid vaccinations. However,I am unsure if there are exceptions in more remote areas.
NHS sends out invitations, not the surgery. You can then go online and change your appointment time or venue.
Much more efficient.

I've booked mine. Never had any problem with covid or flu shots.

I had a message inviting me to book, I did and I’m grateful
