I've seen a few amateur productions of My Fair Lady but the best by far was in Norwich a few years ago. The actor playing Freddie sang 'On the Street Where You Live' with as much feeling as anyone could possibly give it but the problem was he was out of tune.
He got a round of applause nontheless as there was something really touching about his performance.
A bit later in the show he doubled up as the vicar, cheerfully cycling past an open window. Another huge clap from the audience.
When it came to the curtain calls he got a standing ovation
Should I have been a better person?
How do I bring this issue up with our neighbours?
