sew its difficult when your knee is restricting you getting out and about but try to resist the chocolate [GRIN], as you say the more you put on the extra strain it is on your knee, I know its hard try to keep busy, find a good book that will divert your attention.

butter you will get some off for the wedding, your first week you will probably have a greater loss as you loose the extra fluid we carry around, but over 4 weeks if you are careful you could loose at least half a stone. Let me know if you need a hand with anything. 
alison it is best to take it off gently as the slower it comes off the better it is for you and then you are more able to keep it off. Your first week you will always loose more, then the recommended loss per week is 1 - 1 1/2lb per week. Some of us on here do Slimming World, Weight Watchers or just stick to their own method of calorie counting. This link may be able to help with the calories in different food, but there are numerous sites which offer a similar service.
