Dieting & exercise

Remember ha thread where we stated what Xmas jobs we intend to do that day, and then came on later and said whether we had done them or not? Well.

How about a thread where we say what exercise we intend to do that day? And then come on say whether we did it? Or not?

You wouldn't have to necessarily do anything huge. No five thousand miles or anything like that. Half hour walking, twenty minutes dancing to Ken Bruce, riding your bike into town if you've got one, (icyalittle has) would be fine. In fact, we would actually have a ban on anything superhuman. smile

Anyone up for it?

Grandma2213, I did Zumda twice a week for 5 yrs. I closed after Christmas due to lack of interest. Started off with 40+ people , ended with 5. No other class near me sad

Sorry It closed

I did the walk. Two miles. Quite enough. IMO.

But you cycle as well jings??

I was so hoping this thread wouldn't be resurrected as I have done nothing planned.............I did do two hours in the garden yesterday and a long walk around a shopping centre today. The BB is languishing back in the wardrobe, it looks comfortable so I won't disturb it grin. Think I do best with ad hoc exercise!

Sounds like you're doing alright cornergran. Gardening is good, and you actually get something back in the summer. smile I can't actually remember what the BB is (it's not bl** bike is it?) but you can't do anything that makes you hurt.

I ride my bike Grannylin. Cycling sounds a bit ambitious for what I do these days. grin

Body blade jingl. Just the right shape and size to fit neatly in a dark corner. grin

I went to the gym tonight. Didn't do any exercise but I had a lovely cappucino.

Tomorrows plan is to make it to the treadmill and walk for 30 minutes. I will let you know if I make it!!!!

Wish me luck.

Oh yes! The Bodyblade!

Good luck thebeeb. You can do it.

Childcare counts. Definitely.

I did half hour on exercise bike then sat on my arse for most of rest of the day. Not sure I'm doing this right. hmm

BBbevan Thu 03-Mar-16 09:38:50

My husband works part-time. He has to go up a flight of stairs 15-20 times a day. Our doctor told him that did not count as exercise He was quite put out.
So don' t know about child care!!

Delighted to report that I've lost a stone ! The diet's working after all despite my abandonment of the exercise bike . I've kept up the exercising to Mellow Magic in the morning - feeling really good .
I was thinking of doing the 800 cal diet as recommended by Michael Mosley( to lose the next stone ) but it seems awfully low ? Has anyone tried it yet ?

Well done tiredoldwoman! Try reading the 'A new low-carb support thread for 2016' for others trying the MM blood sugar diet. It is an active thread, find it under 'Last Day'.

Thank you Shysal - I'll have a look .
