Whiff sciatica is miserable. I’ve had it a few times and only got rid of it through acupuncture. My lovely man who gave me the acupuncture also gave advice on exercises. In fact I did them this morning as I felt a twinge at the top of my leg.
This is only for folks who can get up and down from the floor, so beware. I do use the sofa to push myself up.
Exercise 1 get on all fours on the floor and slowly stretch one leg out and raise a few inches for the floor. Gently lower the leg. Do the same with the other leg. Repeat a few times.
Exercise 2 lie on your back on the floor and them curl into a ball as much as you can which James says releases tension on the spine.
These exercises work for me.
