Is tai chi enough daily exercise?

I'm nearly 77 and I mentioned in an earlier post that I've re-learned Yang 24 tai chi at home and try to do about 30 minutes daily. I'm wondering, though, if this is enough exercise and should I add a more aerobic exercise or yoga to the mix, even though I'm active around the house. I've got a Wi Fit Sport and also a yoga DVD for seniors, so it would be no trouble to do more at home. What do you think? Is tai chi and day to day activity enough? I'm concerned about improving my balance and flexibility particularly.

I know this thread is old, and OP got the answers they were looking for, but it raised a good point.

Is tai chi enough daily exercise?

Everyone has different ideas / limitations as to what is enough for them. Yes, experts will say we need a certain amount of exercise a day / week to keep fit and healthy. But not everyone can do the amount that's recommended. I'm lucky that I can but many can't.

However, I don't take too much notice of the 'recommendations', I just do my own thing, which is to be active daily. Housework, walking, morning exercises, all of which keep me physically active. I do what's right for me.

It's also suggested we do 10000 steps a day. I've no idea how many I do and I'm not about to start counting them. Whatever I do is better than none. Here's an interesting article from the British Heart Foundation on the history and benefits of 10000 steps and why an amount under that number is still good for you. All stems from the 1964 Olympics in Japan apparently.

Back to the OP Is tai chi enough daily exercise? it will be for some but not for others. Doing your own thing is absolutely fine.
