Which adverts make you mad?

Gambling ads, they should be banned, it's a major problem in this country and it causes untold misery. Anything for money though..
The new mom and her bit of wee.Ugh
Funeral plans, these celebs don't earn enough obviosly, especially Titchmarch, as if the puts into one, just ok for the rest of us. It's put me of him a bit, so insincere.

The m and M one, who dreamt that one up.
I do however, love the cat ones, all of them I think. I usually walk about when the ads are on, most of them are rubbish.

Any of the car ads. Is it me or are they all left hand drive? Love the Lloyds bank one with the mother and foal.

Why is it that all the ads aimed at a certain demographic appear to assume that after a certain age we have no interests apart from hearing loss, incontinence or dying?

Is anyone else infuriated by the Plantur 39 advert?

There is one where the man keeps saying footie and the girlfriend tries to entice him with the news that her flat mate is out.
I switch my brain off so I don’t even know what it’s advertising. I will take more notice next time and report back.

Car ads. None of them given details about the car - just film of the car being driven fast through pretty scenery.

I'm in the USA. ..haribo gummies...adults sitting in board meeting ...voices like children. ..
All insurance ads....

More than mad; they enrage me.
An ad for a holiday = a talking sandcastle.
A cleaning product = a singing dog.
Insurance = a family of talking puppets.
They're worse than the children's programmes in their utter banality.

That travel one with ‘I want to hold your hend’ ...the word is hand with an 'A' .

Actually, the ones that boil my pee most are the ones one here such as "looking stylish after fifty/sixty etc".

So bloody patronising.

I avoid commercial telly if I can.

However I DO like the singing cakes during GBBO.

When I see adverts (tv, radio, print media, online, the lot) I expect them to reflect a cross section of the public over all kinds of adverts; young middle-aged, old, all colours, all genders, all heights and sizes - and they do not.

In France I picked up a brochure about new telephones and technology and it did just that complete with a very eyeable white haired older man showing his grandchildren how something worked.

Recently an advert outside a local very sheltered housing development the advertisement for the development featured a gurning fit older couple, all white hair. and white teeth, looking as if they were sailing an ocean yacht, which were completely unrepresentative of the kind of residents these flats were designed for.

Go Compare, funeral plans, Peleton ( that really makes me want to slap them), that woman who doesn't know that childbirth might cause incontinence ( that was something we were told in ante natal classes) , ads where the man is doing the housework, In what world does that happen? Actually any that make women or older people appear idiots , so that covers most doesn't it?

I dislike the stupid Haribo one but do like the one with horses in it. We are approaching the time for Christmas ads to appear, the money spent on these is outrageous and could be better used elsewhere.

The woman in the caffeine shampoo ad who whispers 'for those over 40' as though we've got some shameful contagious condition - ridiculous.

On a more positive note, at least we're no longer being bombarded with PPI adverts or phone calls. Hallelujah!

They have clearly all attained their objective- of making you remember them! Job done!
You may not think you will buy the product, but it has been brought to your attention, planted the name in your subconscious and that is what advertising is about.

Is that why I crave Haribo??
I think that for the purposes of garnering info about what older people don’t like to see on ads, it’s pretty clear that anything patronising, or OTT about bodily functions or funeral related isn’t liked.Neither are those featuring precocious and annoying children.

Loisloves stewie I know quite a number of men who do housework. Including my late father. If he was in the house and my mother was doing any housework, he would be alongside her doing it with her. It drove her nuts. She much preferred doing things by herself.

There's an advert where some dopey looking bloke is stood in front of the camera. This ghastly, awful, squeaky 'music' starts to play and I think this man gyrates a bit.

Dreadful advert.

Vacuum cleaners with the hideous footage showing the stuff coming out. I love the clever collie dog that dashes in to rescue her blue bone but I have to miss that so as not to see the disgusting stuff in the cylinder also I feel disgusted at the sight of magnified flea eggs on carpet fibres. Vacuum cleaner ads make me pleased I have no carpets.

I never watch anything live on the advert channels just so I can fast forward all the ads, hate the lot of them!

I don’t watch a lot of tv, and tend to record programmes I want to see. That way I can fast-forward through the ads. It’s impossible to avoid seeing some, though, but I rarely remember what they are advertising.
My pet hates, at the moment, are Peter Crouch and his phone contract (stick to the football, Peter. You can’t act for toffee!) and the American man lying on a sofa, rhapsodising about how wonderful it is. I’m dreading the Christmas ads. I will be in Australia from mid-November, and their tv programmes and ads are much worse than ours!
I’m glad that you all like the horses. I actually saw them a while ago, at Southport Flower Show, and they are so beautiful and clever, trained by a very nice man.

I keep seeing the Tena advert on my BT email. I click on the "I don't like this" but it comes up every time! Is this all I'm good for? (...and I don't even need them!)
